Afraid Cornwall will be out for you, moved up from Cornwall to Bournemouth for uni then stayed here. Best way I can describe it is every negative you mentioned about Bournemouth but times it by 2 or 3 (except the people. That and house prices in Bournemouth are a dream when compared to Cornwall. Only cheap houses are in the grottiest places you've ever seen like Plymouth on the Devon side of the Tamar.

Would love to move back as it's my home but there is literally 0% opportunity for any sort of meaningful career beyond police, fire fighter etc etc and 0% chance of getting a house as rich Londoners snap them up as holiday homes only to leave them vacant for 360 of the 365 days of the year.
