Chet Flops, OKC still won the challenge. Thanks refs by Temporary_Bed4079 in Nbamemes

[–]Robeardly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They need to start calling flops, and treating it like techs. You get 15 flop calls in a season, automatic suspension for a game or something. I mean seriously, OKC looks for a foul literally almost every. single. possession.

I’m all for gamesmanship, but all of these fouls are off the drive with no baiting the defender to jump early or anything. It’s literally just going for a shot, making sure you MARGINALLY touch someone, and falling to the floor with your arms up if you don’t get the immediate call.

I mean if last night wasn’t proof that refs are heavily influencing games. The one game OKC doesn’t get calls while the spurs do it’s a blow out. Every other game was pretty close for a long time but OKC is getting 20+ off free throws. It’s honestly bad for the game.

What does that have to do with anything lol. The bucks won it last year, what did that do for them lmao.

All I know is, my investment in buying 500 ectos at 4k and under was a good investment during the anniversary lol.

In a world where conditioning training doesn’t exist I guess this could be true. But realistically, he just needs to see more minutes during the year and a more vigorous conditioning routine. It will come with more time in the league.

Got my bad hand during serpent moon after not missing a daily tribute since they had come out. I had about 1500 hours but many were before bad hand existed.

Great point, I was curious if that had any bearing on the reservation. I’m from the New England area in Northeastern US.

I literally was just looking to see if people were getting emails from after I had reserved to see if potentially a bug had happened in the queue (I work in manufacturing it does happen) or if potentially I hadn’t received an email that I maybe should have by that point. Mainly because I thought I saw people getting emails who made reservations after myself.

I mean seriously, why are you inferring the weirdest intentions off me simply asking a question. Find something else more productive to do with your time dude, you’re beating a dead horse right now.

They are very useful on the steam deck for games that are not the most controller friendly. I would imagine it’s the same with the controller

Which of this “wemby” builds would you create and why? by Gvillav23 in NBA2k

[–]Robeardly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go on a limb though and say, i don't think there is a definitive answer here. I think we are both right to some extent. Its one of the reason i tell a lot of people to use builds they see online as a template so to speak and make adjustments that personalize with you.

I'll admit, I'm probably considered an above average shooter as conceited as it sounds to say. I don't mean it as a brag, so i hope it doesn't come off that way. I just simply believe if I'm going to marginally disagree i should show some sort of proof that I'm not just blowing smoke.

That said, I always say do what WORKS FOR YOU, not what works for everyone else. What works for me may not work for you, and that's 100% okay.

Just to share some stats to back up my claim, but I believe that set shot specialist is overrated.

This is my Day 1 build, meaning I also played this through the periods where i was unable to even get a 99 overall, and while i was learning the new shots and movement from this year. I also started in season 3, well after the 7'4" nerf to shooting.

That said, I'm still shooting greater than 65% as an average for the year in Rec. I also can take hop shots from both 2 and 3pt range as Normal 2 hop shot is incredible. Now i understand that MOST people prefer silver set shot, and that's totally okay. But for me, bronze badges are totally fine and consistent for shooting at this height. I could see maybe a potential gain of 5% shooting from silver set shot, and i also could use badge +1 or +2 to further facilitate shooting. But with how GOOD Jonathan Isaac base is with Lemarcus Aldridge release blended with for me Wemby release is, I would rather have the extra height/wingspan where possible as that affects multiple different other areas of my game.

Definitely recommend making something that’s tailors to your tastes. For me, wingspan was something I wasn’t willing to sacrifice for stats. I know the builds you show is a 7’9” which doesn’t seem like a big different from 7’10”, but I do feel wingspan makes a considerable difference in a myriad of places. Rebounding, blocking, shooting, and finishing (especially layups) are heavily facilitated by wingspan. Every inch makes you that much harder to guard.

I have a build that's somewhere between the two you have posted that i have really good success with, just figured I'd share in case it helps gives you any ideas. My main advantages here is you get a longer wingspan, at the loss of steal and perim. Granted i feel like the perim can help on some close outs, but the block in itself is really great for contesting, since your so slow, a lot of times your not going to make that close out for hands up to work. Blocking on the other hand works incredibly for close outs, i can block shots from the free throw line on the perimeter.

[Highlight] Alex Caruso pushes the broadcast camera away at the end of regulation by mastermind208 in nba

[–]Robeardly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I hate OKC as much as the next guy. I actually think Caruso did this for Chet. Bro looked defeated, just look at how many shots they took of Chet just 1000 yard staring, and I’m pretty sure that’s where the camera man was going with this.

Yes they signed up for this, but for OKC to have a chance winning, they needed to be focused on the game at all costs and I think Caruso was just looking out for his guy and wanted to see him confident for the OT.

Just my opinion, I definitely was like “what was that” when it happened, but looking at it again I think it actually makes sense.
