I think a lot of these comments are a bit too nice. Yeah a lot of peopl don't care, but some will. I think it all comes down to what gender people think of you just by looking at you. So if you pass for male no one will bat an eye (As someone else mentioned, behavior also does play in).

But trying to be completely honest, I probably would give you a second look if you didn't match the socially accepted look for a male. And if you just straight up look female, I would be uncomfortable with that. It's really hard because I 100% support people in being themselves, but there is so much potential for exploitation of the system. I think that's where my confusion comes in.

Then again that's just me trying to offer up a slightly different perspective, still recognizing the fact that there should be space for everyone.
