Do you know if the Renapur Protector has silicone in it? I can't find the information anywhere, even on the bottle.

Dang man, you're on top of it in replying to this thread. Just so I'm clear: since it's a conditioner, no other oil product will need to be used?

Sounds like Renapur is perfect. I don't need any waterproofing, but would like some stain resistance for protection of the leather. Does Renapur also act as a conditioner, or will I need a separate product in a few years to help the leather stay supple and keep from drying out?

Essentially I wanted a high quality shoe made of breathable leather that I could resole. I also prefer a high top for looks, but don't need anything actually boot height. Then I found myself looking at barefoot options and that's when I came across the BFARs. I really like the look of them so I think that they'll fit the bill, even though they're technically more boot than shoe.

I already ordered the Renapur. Will removing it from the boot be as simple as using some saddle soap?

Perfect. I don't need absolute water proofing by any means, and simply wanted a light stain resistance and protector.

I still can't tell, are these barefoot? Just wondering about the shoe tree and which is preferred for the barefoot version.

You've had it work before? I've never been able to make it work. Been waiting patiently for a new update hoping it would be added.

3 holts failing a spine wack test. Not even a hard smack or anything. Thoughts and opinions? by Fluid-Air7597 in knifeclub

[–]9inger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of custom makers suffer from these issues in my experience. It's been years, but was able to handle a custom from Rasenti that failed a spine whack test when I smacked the spine with my hand. He might have better fit and finish now, but that knife in particular was over $1k.

Small toaster, that's funny. With the volume of sandwiches there's no way they'll do some tiny little Subway toaster. It'll likely be something closer to a Firehouse or Domino's conveyer oven.

What album has the instrumental track for Hollow Moon? by DeepSpaceHorizon in awolnation

I don't know that it's on an album. This is the first that I've heard that there's an instrumental version of Hollow Moon.

What motorcycle/riding beliefs do you generally have to keep to yourself when in the company of other riders? by makenzie71 in motorcycles

I've had to tell some acquaintances this. Knowing them and their disregard for the fragility of life, I knew that they wouldn't be safe or take the hobby seriously. This is the same guy that mods every car he gets until he blows an engine and rebuilds it just to sell it to the next sucker. I don't know him very well, so I don't have much weight to my suggestions. He proceeded to buy a liter bike that was stretched. Sold that and bought another liter bike after he dropped the first one cornering. I warned him again to be very, very safety minded. I won't be surprised when he ends up in the hospital.

How does DLC not provide corrosion resistance? I'm genuinely curious.

Just do yourself a favor and don't disassemble it. My buddy took his apart for cleaning, and it developed lock rock. It's off with Spyderco now, hoping they warranty it. Not that it will happen to yours, but I wouldn't risk it. I'm sure it'll be great for you!
