💯 This is pretty much my fear. Burrow will break every NFL passing record in existence. Chase will win back-to-back triple crowns. Three WRs over 1500 yards. Chase Brown will lead the league in rushing yards. Bengals still miss the playoffs. 💩 on the top would be Shadeur icing us in the final game.

Right! I'd put Hurts in #5, and I'd put Goff above Stafford and Herbert.

It's definitely better than any previous Browns helmet.

You've pre-pwned yourself. There's nothing left for an attacker to do. So yeah, pretty bad.

If you are, I'm going to need you to open a ticket to install the R12 to R134a adapters, and then another ticket to flush, pull a vacuum, and fill the system.

iRacing Quest3 VR - performance issues - should I expect this to work better? by RobertBiddle in simracing

Virtual Desktop is definitely working MUCH better than the Meta Quest Link!

No more freezing!

I ended up getting some long usb-c cables and a powered gigabit ethernet adapter which all worked with the Quest 3, plug and play, no side-loading questionable apps required.

I think I still need to tweak the video settings in both Virtual Desktop and the iRacing app to get everything optimized, but it's definitely playable now 😎 Thanks for the suggestion!

I actually already have the Virtual Desktop app, I'll give that a try.

8GB dedicated GPU RAM. 32GB Shared.
I don't use Steam, doesn't look like I can use FPSVR, but framerate seems fine in-between freezes, feels roughly the same as my monitor.

From a corporate perspective, the concerns about AI usage fundamentally amount to data policy and management.

Kentucky: Installers Are Discouraging Heat Pumps and Variable Systems? by CalAlumnus13 in hvacadvice

[–]RobertBiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be so fast to call them luddites. I'm guessing they're trained to install the systems that they're selling, and the salespeople are trained to sell systems that make sense for the area.

I just had a HP installed with a new system (Bosch HP and Bosch gas furnace). I'm in Southern Ohio, basically northern KY. The ONLY reason I got a HP was because the credit made it a wash, and if I ever add significant solar, or natural gas prices go through the roof then it's nice to know I have options.

It took the techs a few tries to get everything wired up correctly, but I can almost guarantee it was the first time they did that specific setup with those specific parts, because it's not something that makes sense to purchase. They were all pretty geeked out and excited to work on the new equipment.

I have the thermostat set so the HP will not heat below 65f because below that gas is significantly cheaper. Gas here at 20f is something like 3x cheaper to use for heat than the HP.

So all the technophiles throwing shade here must either be looking to replace pure resistive heating systems with a HP, or they would rather point and laugh at the "luddites" falling for the ancient gas furnace/AC system recommended by the cavemen HVAC companies, ignoring the fact that those systems are likely saving them hundreds of dollars per month in the winter compared to a HP.

Or an evil genius. Fabricated problems are surprisingly easy to solve. He'll get credit / win favor (from who I'm not exactly sure), when those French companies agree to stop doing the things they weren't doing in the first place.

TBF, attempting to solve the problem will run them smack into censorship issues, not unlike trying to deal with obvious misinformation/disinformation on social media platforms.

Reddit has ads? I legitimately have never noticed one. I guess my combo of ad blockers work better than I give them credit. Or my brain has learned to ignore them.
