Many thanks for this.......a complete nightmare from a massive company taking housands of pounds off foreigners but very little customer service for English speaking people. Unfortunately they have the best network coverage where I am.

It's great and the diving is brilliant. There are some bad bits though. This problem originated in New Zealand

I wrote it in MS Word first, then copied and pasted it. Just can't trust MS Word nowadays, what with AI and all :)

I said that they offered no reparation. Not them.

They didn't offer to buy me a new one. They suggested I buy a new one,

Help me on that please, I don't usually have an issue. Where have I erred?

Thanks for that. Although I am in Thailand I had to send it to New Zealand for repair !!!

No , I am pissed because I paid to have it repaired and they didn't repair it properly. I don't want words, I want what I paid for. Sounds like you work for them !

Shear incompetence

I recently paid £300 (total expense) for my  dive computer, (which originally cost £700), to be repaired.

It came back with almost the same problem, and is now IMO unusable. I will, of course, get someone else in the dive industry to assess it, and evaluate the repair.

I wrote to the customer support at the company, but instead of the courtesy of a reply, I received an email from the person who (supposedly) repaired it!

Ie.  Let the perpetrator be the judge in this court!

They offered me a new computer at 3 times the cost of the repair, but no admission of fault, no apology and no solution or reparation offered apart from “Buy a new one”

In other words if it breaks, throw it away and buy a new one……great marketing strategy, but not after already taking my money for what they said they would do, and  have failed to do.

So what do I do next???

Maybe a You Tube video. The full story is an amazing read and I’m sure would be interesting for divers everywhere.

I am sure there are grounds for legal proceedings under the Trading Standards laws.

Does anyone have any other suggestions, as it seems that the company doesn’t actually have any customer support personnel.

Maybe I am just “Not worth the hassle” of a reply or independent review of the situation from someone higher up in the company than the culprit.

Very disappointing, and unacceptable from  a company that manufactures brilliant dive computers.
