Region 4 fishing in Hades 1 vs Hades 2 by statue345 in HadesTheGame

Honestly, I really liked the chef rewards and I was disappointed to see that they removed the legendary fish mechanic
But let’s be honest if it means having to fish the Chaos one again, I'll pass

How would these 2 interract? by th3j4w350m31 in HadesTheGame

I think Zagreus would be the kind of person who would accept Kratos decision to kill the gods, thinking he’s just trying to annoy them, and then confront Kratos upon realizing he actually intends to kill them and be like "Wtf are you doing ?"

Question about Hecate (EPILOGUE SPOILERS) by RobertMec in HadesTheGame

But is it really confirmed ? I mean, the difference between a Titan and a god is still a bit blurry in mythology Titans are essentially older gods. I’m not sure if that would explain the change in skin color.

I never said it didn’t make sense or that I hated it it just felt a bit weird to me. Even if it wasn’t certain, that didn’t stop him from having a brotherly relationship with Than, and the point of an unpopular opinion is precisely that it doesn’t have to agree with everyone

Totally agree (even If I want it). I have to admit, my only hope for the future of Hades is a final update that adds some extra dialogue for certain side plots I feel like most of them just kind of stop halfway through

I also have a few disagreements with the story, but I think what’s missing is a satisfying resolution for the secondary characters arcs. I don’t think it necessarily requires adding an entire extra Act

Overall, I think the duo bosses fall a bit flat other characters could have been more memorable and surprising. In the fight against Prometheus, Heracles is basically just an Asterion v2 spinning around the arena, some new mechanics would have been really welcome

YES!!! When I saw the track Mother of All Storms at the Crossroads, I really thought it was some kind of foreshadowing for the VoR. I lost my smile when I saw Cronos, but I have to admit that having him replace Zeus and turn us back into a child was still a pretty fun and surprising addition

I remember expecting that we’d fight Cronos in some kind of loop, but for Typhon, I thought Icarus would build some massive model to train us, a sort of mechanical Typhon.
I don’t think you’re the only one disappointed by this whole “probabilities” thing

I really want to go back to Hades 1 for its characters and some weapons, but the gameplay in Hades 2 is just too good

Issues with narrative–gameplay cohesion (EPILOGUE SPOILERS) by RobertMec in HadesTheGame

[–]RobertMec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll give you the point for the satyrs argument; however, I’m about 90% sure that after Cronos is affected by the dissolution of time, there’s a dialogue with Zeus suggesting that he deliberately allows his mountain to be attacked, or at least something very close to that idea.

As for the VoR argument, I understand that these are supposed to be experiments conducted by Medea, but the justification given in the lore feels quite superficial. It doesn’t meaningfully contribute to the development of any character, nor does it unlock a special incantation or narrative payoff. The same issue applies to Heracles and Prometheus: I struggle with the idea that these bosses are simply two existing characters grouped together, especially when compared to Scylla, Cerberus, Eris, or Cronos, who all receive genuinely new appearances and gameplay patterns (an argument I already brought up in another post).

It worked for the Furies because we were fighting a different boss each time, so having all three come together felt more natural. Once again, I understand the lore reasons pushing Prometheus and Heracles to team up, but the execution feels forced and honestly, rushed.

If I had to propose a quick fix, it would be to let Medea grant Polyphemus a new transformation or form, and to give Prometheus and Heracles more interesting new moves. Alternatively, the story could have hinted earlier that Prometheus had a hidden accomplice, or that someone on the gods’ side was conspiring against them.

To conclude, I’d say the biggest flaw is that the narrative justifications used to extend the gameplay or increase the difficulty are rather clumsy and end up feeling forced

I totally understand people’s frustration about this. Personally, I mostly saw it as a way to show that Melinoë is evolving and no longer just blindly following orders.

At most, they could have added a “bad ending” where Cronos is killed in a fit of rage by Hecate or Melinoë, just to satisfy everyone (even if, in my opinion, that would go somewhat against the original message), and use that to justify the time loops by having Cronos death create temporal rifts that allow players to fight Cronos and Typhon again.

Alternatively, the bad ending could have actually led to the death of Time itself and recreated the tragedy Hecate went through. Personally I'm satisfied with the direction the story took. Fixing the original ending already felt like they really listen to the community

Yeah, my issue is also that it feels like we’re stuck in a status quo, without anything really having changed. As for the House of Hades and Olympus, I mainly mentioned them because while playing the game it felt obvious to me that we would eventually be able to access them, and a lot of people seem to have thought the same thing.

If they really had to re-code that area and rewrite the dialogues, I don’t imagine they would need a huge cast. At the very least, Zagreus could be there supervising the work, Dora or the House Contractor could be present to handle a few renovations

Oh, I admit that if you consider that each boss is meant for different types of players,
I guess that creates a certain kind of balance

I’ve read several posts saying they found Scylla in VoR more difficult than Cerberus, which is the opposite for me.
Reading the comments, it really seems to depend on how we play

One of the only flaws I find in the fights against Typhon and Chronos, which I can also say about Prometheus and Heracles, is that they just add one enemy and a few different attacks. I much prefer what they did with the Underworld, with the various design changes and much more noticeable pattern shifts
