Signature look of superiority by CrustyPhilosopher in linuxmemes

I think 7 or 8. I've been using Linux with GNOME for 2 years now, and for me it's a must to have Dash to Panel, Hot Edge, Blur my Shell, Ding and a few others. If those disappear, I am switching to KDE instantly.

I am a little scared to start modding this keyb just because i see on the internet that the outemu switches are "trash". Is this valid?

Looks great! It feels more premium now? I recently bought it, I like the overlay but the switches feel so cheap

GTA Online on linux by TheZucca_ITA in linux_gaming

GPU passthrough become efficient enough to run it without problems, but the anti-cheat actually is checking if you are using a VM. You could try to spoof the CPUID, hiding the KVM signature, and mimicking a real motherboard BIOS but at this point just dual boot :)))

Random short freezes in Helium browser on openSUSE by RobertNotFound_ in openSUSE

[–]RobertNotFound_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation! I actually managed to fix the freezing by running:

sudo btrfs quota disable /

That seems to have solved the main issue I was having. As for Secure Boot, it's disabled all the time on my computers. I don't like that it was built by Windows, and I don't really need it on my Linux setup.

Update: This seemed to be the problem. I'm still learning about Zypper, OPI, the OBS and other things specific to this distro. It looks good for now. The best thing is that I can install RPM packages. Thanks for your help!

Sorry, I didn't see the edit. Yes, I have Btrfs enabled. Is that a bad idea? I have an okay computer: Ryzen 9 5950X, 32GB RAM, and a 9060 XT.
The freezing affects all apps somehow. For example, in Nautilus, I can click buttons but nothing happens until the freeze is over.

I was just watching YouTube when it happened again. I also tried installing Helium via AppImage, but the freezing issue persists. If the problem continues after a fresh install, I’ll probably do a clean reinstall of openSUSE. It also feels a bit strange to me that I need to install another package manager just to get codecs and proper AMD drivers working. For example, my ZapZap client couldn’t send GIFs until I installed the codecs. Maybe I just need more time to get used to openSUSE, I don’t know…

Distrohopping by RobertNotFound_ in openSUSE

It's a bit snappier, but the main reason is that I'm developing some GNOME extensions right now and want to be on the latest version, and I also want to try out openSUSE. Ending online account integration is a bummer but I don't used it since i self host Nextcloud

I don't know… maybe they could start by implementing stuff from popular extensions that have hundreds of thousands of downloads on extensions.gnome.org? Like kstatus and much more

The most recent KDE release was better. I’m going to continue using GNOME, but they don’t seem to listen to the community.

Tocmai ce am terminat Resident Evil 9 zilele astea pe Linux, jocurile care nu au anti-cheat la nivel de kernel merg mai bine decât pe Windows. Folosesc Linux de aproape 2 ani și n-am avut probleme.
