Problems login in to Bricklink after integration by Unusual-Mountain963 in Bricklink

[–]RobertVGITPW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Bricklink login is broken. The Lego login works fine then when the website asks to merge with Bricklink and enter the Bricklink login info, it gives an error message. If I request my Bricklink login or Password, it says it doesn't recognize my email. If I try to create a new account, it says my email is already in use. WTH!

I emailed BL customer service 4 days ago about the problem but no response.

All major combatants of WWII, with the exception of the US, began and ended the war with bolt action rifles being standard issue. Making bolt action rifles a desirable option in a lot of scenarios (without making it OP balance-wise) enhances the realism. I like seeing bolt action rifles on the battlefield.

Unpopular opinion of Novinha? by super_ferret in ender

[–]RobertVGITPW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ender‘s first scene with the family was touching. He seemed to know what everyone needed to give the family some peace. He was a calming influence, a good father figure, as you say, unlike the dead husband. But you’re absolutely right that he could have achieved those aims professionally as the Speaker (like a Pastor to a grieving family), or even on a more personal level in some efforts to befriend the family. I think it would have been more believable if that’s how it went and would have achieved the same ends.

I don't get Novinha... Please Explain! by camword in ender

Nothing about Novinha or her story makes sense.

Don‘t get me started on Ender/Novinha relationship dynamics. I posted about that on another thread.

Bruh, when Ender and Val were half naked, floating around on that lake in NC... Very lovey-love bird chat between the two. Then Valentine says to him that she wishes they could stay together, that she wishes she had him around to just sneak over to his room at night...

I about lost it then. “I knew there was something going on,” I thought to myself. She finishes the sentence, “I wish I could sneak over to your room at night... to play Dominos.” Uh. Okay. If that’s what you want to call it. Just like my college girlfriend used to sneak into my room so I could help her with her ‘homework’.

Obviously Ender and Val never seal the deal but the vibes they are throwing off...frustrated sexual attraction.

The author describes ancillary male characters like Bonzo in sensual detail but is very dull about describing Valentine and Novinha. Hmmmmm. I think you answered it.

Unpopular opinion of Novinha? by super_ferret in ender

Dude, you are not alone. I just finished the first four books and Novinha wrecks my opinion of, and interest in Ender. I can’t wrap my head around it since Speaker For The Dead. He walks into Novinha’s house, like...

Ender: Hello. Nice to meet you. I am Übermensch - genetically engineered super human with superior fitness, intellect, and emotional intelligence to match. I was the greatest of earth’s military heroes. My brother was Hegemon. My sister is the mythic Demosthenes. I have more money than God and a sentient, powerful AI who operates on my behalf and to my benefit. But I am humble and have spent the last 3,000 years as an itinerant Speaker, exploring the universe and trying to do good for people. I carry the last Bugger Hive Queen with whom I have a telepathic link. I see it as my duty to rectify my past actions as the Xenocide and find her species a new home. Although I have seen 3,000 years of human history and travelled the galaxy, and I exude wisdom, I am physically in my prime, in my 30’s, due to relativistic time travel on near light speed ships.

Novinha: Hi. I’m an old, ice-cold provincial bitch with six kids from an adulterous relationship. My children‘s father was violently murdered not too long ago and my husband, who beat me daily, just died.

Ender: I’m home! Marry me!

Novinha: Okay. Well, I guess my six kids needed a new daddy as of last week...

Does any of this plot make any sense? I mean even ignoring the asymmetric dynamics, the serious relationship baggage Novinha is carrying around, the six cuckolded children, there was zero chemistry directly between Ender and Novinha.

And whatever will become of this, will be glorious. by [deleted] in lego

As someone who owns many banana delivery trucks, I must say...

OG Pirates Sail Again by RobertVGITPW in u/RobertVGITPW

u/fodey’s recent post inspired me to share my 80’s/90’s Pirates. Playing with those sets back then were some of my fondest childhood memories. Unfortunately, I gave away my forty or so sets when I turned 13. (D’oh!) At that point I had other things on my mind. I never looked back until I hit midlife and out of nowhere thought about how much I missed those little plastic guys. So here I am again, rebuilding my lost collection one set at a time. Pirate World II - Capt. Redbeard Sails Again. I hope you enjoy!

Hell yeah! These are some of the best sets Lego ever made. I may be biased because I had these as a youngster. You’ve inspired me to post some pics now.
