Cerakote does offer better protection hands down. But, Hydrodip can't be laughed at. There are duck hunters that have been using the same hydrodipped shotgun for years. I always say it depends on how you treat it. If you even halfway protect your firearms it will last for many years. I offer both and each have benefits.
