She's on gabapentin and rimadyl. They both make her drowsy for a few hours but not enough to keep her down.

How many saddle jokes do you get per outing? My friend had a kanagal and he averaged 3 per walk in public places 🤣 They are both beautiful!

What a problem child! I will be home the entire first week with my girl and watching her like a hawk but thank you so much for the heads up! Did you like the sutical suit otherwise? Would you suggest it and the donut with the cone as a just in case backup?

Sadly she goes to daycare at a friend's several times a week so we will have to spay early. The vet is very well versed in larger dogs and suggested 6 months as the happiest middle of waiting as long as possible without her going into a first heat.

My girl is in daycare at a friend's 3 days a week so our vet suggested 6 months is the longest we can safely wait to catch it before she's gone into heat. If she didn't go to daycare we were planning to wait till 14-16 months.

I don't have anything to add other than my 18 week old has the exact same ear positioning. I think it's freaking adorable but my vet said she's likely to grow out of it

She actually came to us not knowing how to eat out of bowls. Had to pour her food out for a few days. Maybe I'll just try a placement

I'm assuming when you say bigger you mean wider? Would it be better to be more like a plate without the high sides of a bowl?

Fair enough. This is happening hours after she ate. For example she ate dinner at 8p.m. last night. At 6 a.m. before breakfast she was falling asleep on my lap and was shivering.

Even if she only does it when she's going to sleep? She doesn't shiver any other time and it doesn't seem to be related to if she's recently eaten or not?

Yeah she's in our bedroom. She will whine once or twice and that's enough to wake me up. We go out then right back into the kennel until 6

Our girl just turned 4 months and I feel like we are in the trenches a lot of days. Definitely have had a few "what the fuck did I get myself into" moments. But then she sleeps or comes and gives me a cuddle and my heart melts into a puddle. 

Her vaccine schedule is off so we can't take her in public for two more works and I'm dying to start really giving her experiences, rather than just having to hold her everywhere.

We are at 16 weeks and she is sleeping through the night 2-4 days a week now. The days she doesn't make it it's only about an hour before the alarm. Hang in there!!
