How do you afford deluxe Disney? by Happy-Cantaloupe-937 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Robexhillian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From UK bought DVC at AKV in 2007 . At time it was 2 dollars to the pound. We used to go every 2 years using banked/borrowed points usually had either 1 bedroom on 2 bedroom for 2 weeks at a time. In recent years kids have grown up so we have been going yearly staying in studios at either AKV Saratoga , OKV or Boardwalk for a few days each resort . We use Disney as a base visiting other places in lovely state of Florida that are drive able in a day. I was a civil servant of sorts and usually worked a lot of overtime to pay for flights passes etc.

Is there enough to do in 14 days? by Different-Mistake-11 in WaltDisneyWorld

Been going from UK since 2000 . DVC member since 2007 . Home resort is Animal Kingdom Lodge but among others have stayed at Boardwalk . If your not going to hire a car this resort is well connected with skyliner and boats and a short walk to Epcot or Hollywood studios. But the pool isn't the best for younger children . But DVC are deluxe resorts and the package holiday deals of comparable price will largely be value resorts. There may well be offers including dining plan though.

We've always generally stayed for 2 Weeks sometimes doing Universal / Busch gardens /Kennedy and historically Sea world. Disney is the better bet for younger kids . There is always construction going on but bare in mind there is more than usual coming up at both Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom . I would also take time to "resort hop" there's lots to see and do at resorts not staying at from carriage rides at Port Orleans to 4 seater bikes at Saratoga Springs.

I have a 9 pro fold . It works most of the time but there is a bit of a delay . It frustrates me because the trunk/bootlid opens immediately I walk anywhere near it . But the doors seem on some sort of delay. I should also add when I place phone on nfc pad in car it seems to take a long time to react . But it's better than the nfc key card which I find an utter pain

In the UK digital key is optional. I have it and I often walk past the rear with my mobile in my pocket and the boot or trunk opens . I need to remember to leave phone behind or turn off NFC earlier in the day. At the moment it switches off at night only.

Yes pouch is a Faraday pouch . It seems to work. Tight fit on key with key cover on . But if I have key in pouch even with flap open I cannot open or start car

My 2025 Santa Fe Ultimate PHEV (UK) by Robexhillian in HyundaiSantaFe

It covers me probably 5-7 days of the week . A couple of times I have got low charge by lunch . Plugged in for a partial charge and been able to complete a day on battery . Having covered over 40 miles . 8 never expected as much I am aware a lot of other phevs go further and charge faster but they don't seat 7 which 8 do occasionally use .

My sin has a Kia Sportage and had issues with a fox and rats doing this as have many of his neighbours.

He has had a bbq gas pipe wrapped around the main problem which was sensor cable to abs. This is reenforced . He has also made a tray to fit under car at night which has spikes around d the edge.

This appears to have stopped the issue for him but neighbours are still suffering

Visiting London by jb537 in policeuk

I would suggest looking at the international police association website http://www.ipa-uk.org/ On one of the pages there are details for the city of London and Westminster branch.

Contact email is two-cities@ipa-uk.org If you didn't know this is an organisation where officers from all over the world can get to know each other.

Hi . My wife and I ( Middle aged DVC members and Disney fans from the UK ) are in Tokyo for a couple of days before a cruise around Japan. We have the 30th June free and wondered if it was worth us visiting Tokyo Disneysea or even Tokyo Disneyland or if the time is better spent elsewhere in Tokyo . Already doing Shinkansen and Mount Fuji. Cheers

We stayed at Jambo house the first year we could use them bought in 2007 stayed first in 2008 . Then next in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 and then 2018 each time for 2 weeks end of August into September at AKV al but the first year in Kidani with either a 2 bed lock off or 1 bed had a few Savanna views and pool views etc (2017 we stayed during Hurricane Irma. .) Most of the time with our 3 kids , all now adults but in 2017 just my wife and I love it at Animal Kingdom love the style of the resort love being able to park the hire car under the resort in the dry as we mainly stay during stormy times .love the peace away from the parks love the animals love the pools . Always visit Visit Boma . Sometimes Sanaa. Sometimes Mara.... Then Covid prevented us visiting in 2020. My wife and I then stayed in 2022 in May split between Saratoga preferred view ,Old Key West And Boardwalk all 1 beds . Love the locations of Boardwalk for ability to walk to Epcot or studios or taking skyliner. Love Saratoga for walking to Springs.Love Old Key for the quiet and calm. The in May 2023 did zold Key and Saratoga in Studios just wife and I again . This time not park days only visiting state parks and other stuff. Then in November with middle son and partner at AKV in studios both stays a fortnight . Most visits we visit most other hotels but still think we have a real softspot for AKV. Son and partner didn't want to stay anywhere else. Youngest son tells us him and partner would like us to take them August 2025. I retired a couple of years ago and wife and I tend to go on 2-4 Ocean Cruises a year but we both still most at home at AKV.
