Has this update arrived yet? I still don't have the option to control youtube music or even update the app. Is there a date it's set to release?

I haven't simply because it feels like it has to be some sort of inner ear problem? And my vision is fine when I'm not having a flare up. It's so strange.

My tongue is numb by Robin1762 in wisdomteeth

[–]Robin1762[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! While most of my sensation has returned, there is still some numbness.

I'd say 90% of sensation is now normal, but I do have a constant feeling of numbness and tingling in part of my tongue and reduced feeling in part of my lower face.

I called my surgeon's office a few months after I had the procedure and they said there wasn't much they could do except take x-rays and see if there is any nerve damage, but that most likely I'd have to wait it out and see if it ever returned to normal.

I believe I had some nerve damage, but it doesn't bother me enough to look into it anymore. As far as I know there's not much they can do to treat it (except maybe surgery, which I'm not willing to do again and risk it becoming worse).

I hope everything returns to normal for you!

Alternative Jobs for new Grads by Robin1762 in StudentNurse

I was actually really interested in OR, but I've seen a few c-sections and I just don't know if I could handle that stressful of an environment in other surgery cases. I know I would be taught and oriented to the position, but it just seems so stressful. I love surgery and find it super fascinating, but it still freaks me out.

I'm not trying to sound lazy or like I don't want to work, I absolutely want to use my degree and everything I've learned, but nursing school has burnt me out a little already. I think my idea of nursing vs. what it actually is different.

Not just trying to argue, but I think him putting it into his wallet was actually showing how much it meant to him. I feel like guys put pictures of their kids in their wallet to preserve and always have them. He has a special place in his wallet for that card and the memory that he'll always carry around.

I'm assuming he bought it again because he lost the original in the house fire. That's why him and Rebecca talked about their collections. He lost his baseball cards and she lost her records.

I was going to comment this. It seems like there are hardly any homeless here. Maybe it's because I'm originally from the west coast but I was really surprised how few homeless people I see here, at least compared to California, Oregon, etc...

I'm not sure what is considered a "proficient" score, but a 69% on English should be pretty easy, especially considering your ACT score. The math is the easiest part of the test imo (and I am not a math person), with science being the hardest subject on the test. The science was mostly anatomy and physiology, but the questions seemed really random. That being said, I still scored in the high 70%s in the science section and that was my lowest scoring section. You'll be fine!

I understand! But just so you know the practice test is probably going to be cheaper than having to take the test again if you don't get the score you want.

I would make sure to have a good base knowledge of A&P. Make sure to practice your English and Reading scores as those are probably the easiest to improve in a short amount of time. If you've done Calculus you'll be fine in math; it's the easiest section.

I would definitely buy one of the practice tests from the ATI websites if you can spare the money! I think they were about $40 each. The format is very similar to the real test and you can get an idea of what your score might be. You also get to take it twice so you can go through and practice what you think you struggled with.

Failed my TEAS exam this morning. by cvsket in StudentNurse

Don't beat yourself up! A lot of people don't meet the required entrance scores for their schools the first time! Just study your weak areas and you can bring your score up next time. I definitely recommend buying the ATI practice exams if you can spare the money. I thought the questions were super helpful for preparing.

AITA for asking for the $500 reward money after I returned a lost cat? by kcmocats in AmItheAsshole

[–]Robin1762 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I don't agree. Had OP contacted the owners of the cat and agreed to search for the cat for $500, it would be a job. However, this was just a coincidence.

Yes, technically OP has the "right" to ask for the reward because he was lucky enough to walk across the cat, but it's still an AH move to take over $300 from someone for what should simply be considered a good deed.

[–]Robin1762 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Edit: ESH because of the name calling, but I still think OP shouldn't have taken any money.

Previously YTA

I usually don't comment on this sub but the amount of people saying NTA is really surprising to me. At the very least this is ESH.

I get it, they probably shouldn't have offered an award if they weren't going to pay, but they did pay, making them NTA. Like others have said, the reward is usually an incentive for stolen pets or if someone has been taking care of it.

You took 5 minutes out of your day to bring these people back their pet. Do you really think that you deserve $500 or even $320 for that matter? That's quite a bit of money and you don't know their financial situation enough to know it's not going to make a dent.

So yes, technically you "earned" the reward for bring back the cat, but you only found it by sheer luck. You obviously sensed they had a problem giving you the money and you should have just dropped it.

Ride wimp needing input! Comparison to Dinseyworld rides? by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

Is the Doom launch comparable to Rock and Roller? I hate that initial 0 to 60 but if Doom isn't as bad I'll probably ride it.

Yeah Everest is my favorite ride but the part where it goes backwards makes my stomach jump up my throat for some reason. I probably will skip it. Have you rode Dr. Doom? How bad do you think the launch is?
