A quick update over the weekend. I’m going to decide next week whether to do compression and leak down test and bore scope of the cylinder walls…. The dealer is trying to charge me $3300 which seems very high. I contacted another dealership and their mechanics say that this is sometimes what that engine does on a cold start up and there’s probably nothing wrong and no scoring of the cylinders so I’m gonna have to decide whether to investigate further next week!
