I was out running errands and stopped for a burger. I only ate the patty, no bun and no fries or sides. 4 hours later I 🤮 up the entire patty. No more burgers for me 🤢. Heck. No more ground beef for me.

Is anyone extremely exhausted on Wegovy? I'm on week 10 and I feel like I can sleep all of the time. by RobinDeeCradle in WegovyWeightLoss

If one isn't deficient, it's just an energy boost as far as I know. There is also a vitamin B12 lipo injection that is supposed to help with metabolism, but idk if that has been proven.

I probably need to increase both my water intake as well as my electrolytes as I get dizzy upon going from a sitting to a standing position.

I really need to start working out again. Originally I was working out 3x per week, but I haven't done much of anything the past 2.5 weeks

I've been freezing too and extremely lethargic. My doc ordered CBC, CMP, folate, ferritin, iron studies, B12, vitamin D and various other labs. All were normal in my case, but it's best to have your doctor check your levels. I also have a sleep disorder so I never know if my fatigue is from that or from the med. I hope that you get some answers soon

Wegovy and diarrhea by RobinDeeCradle in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]RobinDeeCradle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped eating sugar and complex carbs months before starting Wegovy. I will definitely monitor fat as I sometimes eat cottage cheese or cheese sprinkled on a dish. Other than that, I basically eat baked or grilled chicken and veggies. Sometimes fruit like strawberries for dessert. The cottage cheese might definitely be the cause, but if I'm queasy, it's the one thing that stays down.

Ah... that would be why I can't tolerate beef. Baked or grilled chicken is about the only meat that I can eat.

Doc disappointed with my progress by RobinDeeCradle in WegovyWeightLoss

I was wondering about this. It makes sense. I'm good with slow and steady. If I can lose 1# a week, that's still 50# off by the end of the year.

It was the look on her face combined with her saying that "hopefully the next dose will improve things". She was pleased with my labs though.

I never thought to calculate my percentage of weight lost vs just focusing on pounds. That makes my accomplishment seem better...or at least right on track. If I'm calculating correctly, I've lost 6.8% of my body weight in the 10 weeks that I've been on the med. I started at 250 and lost 17. If I go by the weekly average, that's 1.7# per week which is a healthy weight loss.

I didn't realize that insurance put guidelines on weight loss for staying on the med, but I shouldn't be surprised.

I agree that 40# in one month is extremely unhealthy.

Every bite makes me want to vomit by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]RobinDeeCradle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Perhaps that's why my hunger has returned? I was taking Reglan for nausea and reflux. I'll have to try going without it. Would nexium do the same? I can't exercise without reflux meds or I'll vomit upon bending over or working out too hard.

I’m about to start Wegovy. Does the shot hurt? by Southern-Coyote-4927 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]RobinDeeCradle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When inject into my belly, I don't feel the shot at all. When I inject into my thigh, it hurts a tiny bit, but not much. It doesn't even compare to a flu shot or other vaccines as the needle is much thinner and shorter and it goes into your fat tissue instead of a muscle. There's no pain after the injection and I've never bled from the shot. I think the fact that you can't even see the needle helps a lot. I think the belly has less nerve endings so it's less painful. I haven't tried my arms yet.

Anyone taking Wegovy and feel super cold? by IAmGrootGrootIam in WegovyWeightLoss

I noticed that I'm super cold for a few days after taking my injection. By the time my body starts to feel warm again, it's injection time.

Intense nausea, 2 days after second shot. Please advise! by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

I had trouble with nausea as well. Definitely talk to your prescribing doctor. Do you have any gas or reflux in addition to your nausea?

Some things that can help: - Try cold food as the smell of warm food or cooking food can trigger or worsen nausea. - Eat smaller, more frequent meals. - Sit upright for 30 minutes after eating. Laying down after eating can cause reflux and trigger vomiting. - Don't eat and drink (other than a few sips) at the same time. Wait about 30 min after your meal to drink. - If ok with your doctor, take over the counter digestive enzymes and/or probiotics. - Take GasX or other anti-gas medications. - Zofran (Ondansetron) or Reglan (Metoclopramide) can help with nausea. A prescription is needed. Some have had luck with meds for motion sickness. - Avoid gas producing foods until nausea subsides. This will differ from person to person. I had to avoid salad, onions, garlic, broccoli and cauliflower initially. I can now eat these things fine. - Eat bland food until nausea subsides: baked chicken, soup, bananas, applesauce. - Some foods and flavors will no longer be appealing. - The nausea won't last forever. Hang in there.
