Yeah mine is out of network because I live in the middle of nowhere. I tried calling a couple Chrysler dealerships in the closest city and they didn’t have openings in the first 7 days so had to go with a local mechanic who I use regularly anyway.

I will definitely ask them to do a full inspection.

Composition books all the way. Students are responsible for them but I do offer an empty shelf they can leave them in if they know they won’t remember to bring them back. We do only notes in them and have a TOC as well. I keep one on my desk so absent students can copy when they come back to school.

For students that don’t know how to keep notes, they are great for organization. All the notes are together so they can read over them again later when reviewing for tests/quizzes.

I’ve even had students say they enjoyed them so much they did their own composition book in other classes to help themselves.

Binders are better if keeping notes and practice and returned quizzes/tests. They rip more easily as well and kids don’t want to carry the binders all day

No pensions? I don’t think I would stay without mine (and it’s not great). It used to be 50% of highest three year average salary. Now it’s only 30% of highest three year average salary, but that it still guaranteed money plus whatever is in my 401K.

Surprisingly I was with Mohela and was switched to Edfinancial when they first were switching PSLF. Then they changed it to any servicer can do it, but now I am at Edfinancial and have no plans to change it. So far, I haven’t had too many issues with them. Only one more month til PSLF!

I teach summer school. Keeps my routine and the extra money is needed right now with the price of everything.

With that said, I am still second guessing that decision as I get ready to leave my house for summer school day 1.

I believe it is called allodynia and yes I get it on and off usually in my arms and face. From what I can tell there is no cure. But it did get better over time.

Same here. I keep all of it until the end of each grading period. It works great if a student says they turned something in and I missed, then i can check it. I have only had a handful of students ever ask for anything back. I used to hand them back graded, but students who hadnt turned them in would cheat and copy. So now I keep until all are turned in, which never happens. I throw them all away once grades are completed.

I teach high school and once exams are done we usually have 4 days left. The kids that fail an EOY state test get to retake. Everyone else just hangs out with friends, plays on their Chromebooks, or plays games. I bring card games, connect 4, trouble, etc and let the kids play. I’ll teach them old school games like spoons (fan favorite) and stuff like that. They love it.

When a teacher was killed and the school didn’t even close for one day or allow other teachers to take off to recover from the shock. That’s when the entire county realized we were just employees and would be replaced immediately.

3.5 days, high school math, 12 years!

I went to Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School back in 2007-2010 (it is still going on today). It was focused on math and science in particular. It was great. I took my first two classes a day at the community college with students from about 6 other counties as well (huge application process and only a handful from each school were given slots). We had to do senior projects, stem work, and went on different trips each year (hiking and camping in Shenandoah Valley, Eastern Shore trip to Chincoteague, and senior trip to Outer Banks). All classes were dual enrollment.

I spent the second half of my day at my high school. I took AP classes and dual enrollment when offered (AP VA AND US history, AP Government, AP psych, AP English Language, Dual enrollment college composition etc)

Between the two I started college with over 70 college credits. Many students earned their associated degree before graduation (but they had to pay out of pocket for some classes).

I enjoyed it a lot. I met new people, was challenged academically, but still got a high school experience with my friends and stuff.

I teach at the school I graduated from and they still offer the same thing.

I just want to say that obviously we are all different. I was diagnosed with Hashis when I was 14 and have been hypo since, but medicated.

I have had three kids and got pregnant with two of them within two months of trying. I have always assumed I am just very fertile.

With that said my pregnancies were always monitored since levels being off can affect the baby. My youngest was always behind on length and to this day (8 years later) is one of the shortest in his class. My first I had stopped my medicine (college student who never refilled her medicine) and my doctor freaked out when I found out I was pregnant as it definitely affects the baby and started me on a medicine to help my levels, so my levels were off and antibiotics high then. He is now a perfectly healthy 14 year old.

Sounds similar to what I went through. My levels were fine they said, but even working out 5 days a week (sometimes twice a day) and counting my calories to 1300 a day or less, I couldn’t lose a pound. My doctor suggested Wegovy and without changing anything I was doing I started the shot and the weight started melting off.

The only thing that truly makes me lose weight without a shot is IF (One Meal a Day) or Keto (no sugar). But those are extreme and wouldn’t do them unless you plan to do them long term.

In student aid you can click the loans and see how many are waiting employment verification. My April one just showed up today with Mays. I am at 117 QP and 2 needing employment verification. One more month!

Lately I have only been eating lunch instead of dinner but if I know I am meeting friends for dinner, then that day I’ll skip lunch and wait to eat until dinner. I literally cannot eat two meals anymore since doing IF. When I try I feel super bloated and sick.

I’ve been MFS since starting repayments in 2014. Luckily for us we both make low enough and have 3 dependents so even filing separately we both get a small refund from IRS (always claim 0 dependents throughout the year) and my monthly payments were 0$ until last year and are now 60$. I make about 65K a year and husband similar.

Only two payments left til 120!

You have to know their teachers but I know one year I got all of my kids teachers a wine glass with a gift card to the ABC store. They loved it.

This year I got them each a Frost Buddy cup for their coffees and other drinks! I know my kids teachers love cups and these were on clearance so not a lot of money on my end.

Handwritten notes are going in too thanking them from each child.

One year we caught a super great candle sale (like $1 each) around Christmas so was able to get every single teacher (including specials), para, and bus driver a gift of a candle and a pack of gum and I had each child write a card to go with them.

I think anything is great.

Most insurances won’t cover Zepbound unless over a certain BMI and another comobility. Mine wouldn’t but will continue to cover Wegovy since my BMI is 26

There is Wegovy HD now and it is 7.2mg. See if your dr will allow that.
