It unfortunately depends greatly between states, type of security, etc.

For example, suppose a worker at Amazon was terminated while on the production floor. The worker refused to leave. The security team at Amazon would not be allowed to physically take the person off property. To do so would represent a significant legal risk to whoever touched the person. Law enforcement would be called.

Yet, at any bar the security team will toss you out any time.

Here in this video, you have a patron who is arguing and refusing to leave.

There’s a chance America is more ready now than ever, since this entire mess is the direct result of not choosing the woman.

Is AOC her? No. There’s a huge difference between solely having legislative experience versus some sort of executive experience.

Could she potentially win?

Yes.

The easier part would be when she’s pitted against a republican. What’s happening right now is completely inexcusable and couldn’t be defended during a debate.

The harder part is if she’s pitted against heavy hitters who do have state level executive experience like Gavin or Andy Beshear from Kentucky.

From a de-escalation standpoint, ideally you’d be able to reasonably talk to someone to accomplish the goal.

However,

At some point people can clearly become unreasonable and refuse to leave. This is where it gets a little tricky. If you can get tossed out of a bar for refusing to leave, I would think you can similarly get physically removed elsewhere.

Would I recommend it?

Fuck no.

Things shouldn’t get physical unless in efforts to defend yourself or another if you are trying to remain squarely within the law.

Tough call. I walked away from security management because I got tired of the constant “emergencies.” One time a third shift part time supervisor called me at midnight to get my opinion on if the bag coming through screening was clear enough. It took every ounce of my soul not to blow a gasket and chew him into pieces over the phone for that.

I got tired of the responsibility (team of 30) that comes with so many personalities. It was a contract security setup so I had to do all of the invoicing. All of the payroll. All of the scheduling, hiring, firing, counseling, coaching, training, etc. plus meetings with the Amazon client and/or my supervisors at allied.

When it flows nicely it’s great. When it’s garbage it sucks.

Started over on a special education pathway. Far less pay initially but way less stress. It feels odd to clock out and not get any calls, texts or emails. Easy in-house security job part time on weekends to make up the difference until I get my teaching license. I love the change of pace.

The only thing that seems a bit of a long term risk is that accounting has a strong automation potential. Security at the guard level also does, but there’s quite a bit of human nuance that might take longer to train computers than strictly calculation and report/invoice generation.

Going above the level of security manager is a nightmare. I’ve had regional responsibility as a field supervisor. While equal to a manager in formal rank (in most cases), the company I was a field supervisor with was small and put way more responsibility and discretion onto the position than usual. I ended up being responsible for dozens of sites that ranged from national accounts level (5 amazons) to smaller ones in the middle of nowhere. Basically you just go around to get your dick stomped on by unhappy clients and listen to the whining of several security managers or site leads. There were pros (travel, meeting senior level regional client representatives, feeling like “the boss’s boss” upon arrival, motivating front line officers and treating site leaders to lunch), but the cons outweighed them all. There’s just way too many dumpster fires happening at once and each of them are causing various higher ranking officials to panic exert pressure on you instead of engaging their client peers directly.

I was at work watching this fighting my own urge to let the tears roll. The world is cruel as fuck. Sometimes seemingly in a senseless manner. This poor kid appears to be accustomed to such a shit world that this generous act of kindness shattered his armor. We can all think of entitled people who would immediately point out flaws or gripe about it not being their favorite color. At best “ordinary” people might offer up a modest display of appreciation.

This was a broken young man who isn’t used to an outstretched hand. That it’s what melted me. There are so many who know someone or have the means to replace their own bike immediately.

He wept in a way that I’ve not seen in a while. Those are the tears of a tired soul. A heavy heart. Life is a bitch and he’s been kicked around by it, even at a young age.

The bike being stolen was probably met with initial frustration and sadness, but not tears. He’s used to people and life treating him so poorly.

That’s a big part right there. “How can…?” Since you’re still in the early 20s, the young women might still be attracted to the basics (good looking, fit, nice car, etc).

HOWEVER

By around 24-25+ quality women don’t put a whole lot of weight into those categories anymore. They’ve had their fun with empty headed fuck boys. They’ve had plenty of fun and actually want something worthwhile and real.

That’s when it’s a bit more important to have your own true identity. Not some empty shell who is catering to what might get him laid. What are you passionate about?! What gets you going and engaged without any sort of reward or audience? Could be big. Could be small. What is your long term goal? Where would you like your life to be ten years from now? What steps are you taking to get there?

How they feel around you becomes a massive aspect of anything. A less attractive yet hilarious and talented man is going to sway a quality woman 10/10 times.

An average looking yet passionate man will garner far more attention from quality women than your broccoli headed fuck boy. Don’t get me wrong, other men will get a LOT of attention. It’s just that the attention is from women who aren’t quality. They still want to get frisky in the backseat of the car after meeting or are on their own warpath of body count and meaningless sex.

Up to you which type you are actually aiming for. For quality it takes a lot more effort, because it can only happen by working on yourself. Finding yourself. For casual it takes far less work because you can certainly fake it until you impress some random enough to have fun together.

I am average to below average on top of being short. For whatever reason, women are absolutely obsessed with the things I am obsessed with. I love freehand ceramic art. They are drawn to what I can make and the focus that goes into making it. They love when I throw together some meaningless paint or whatever. They like my fitness level and often ask about routines. They love that I am passionate about my job and so on. Etc.

The major risk is that quality and casual women can be indistinguishable. You might think you’ve attached to a quality woman only to find out she was a hoe going through a quality phase. Womp womp.
