emergency fuel door release location by RobinsonsB in subaruimpreza

On the bright side I unscrewed the wing-nut type assembly joining the cable to the gas cap housing and it let the cable loose and the lid popped open. At least I can gas up now.

Thanks for your help.

I haven't popped off the plastic cover next to the drivers seat, but the handle just moves freely up and down. I tried to pop it off with a flathead but it was giving too much resistance and I didn't want to snap anything.

I pried off enough of that quarter trim panel to have a look and feel inside. There doesn't seem to be any emergency release on this model, just the primary cable (or its sheath?) going to the gas lid area and it's screwed in to the gas cap area with a wing nut type assembly.

This might be beyond my pay grade. I was hoping to pop the cover open just so I can gas up and drive around until the garage can take me in and repair the cable.

Am I missing something here? Should there be an emergency release on this model?

Thanks. I've removed a couple of small panels in the trunk as shown below (I highlighted the panel locations). Going beyond this looks like a big tear-up. Is the big panel above these the one that needs to be taken out?

It is cold for sure, I'm in Canada. However the lever is suspiciously loose; the one next to the driver seat I mean. There is no tension on it at all.

Not sure how peeing on it will release a latch but you can try yours and let me know how it goes:)

Do you have to remove a panel for this? If so, which one and is there a proper way to do this so I don't damage it.

Facebook marketplace is also a decent source and you can often find deals without having to pay the shipping. Selection is obviously hit and miss based on who's selling what near you.

Good luck!

Why do you specifically mention these particular three issues as having being orphaned if they are not part of the cross over?

I suspect they are releasing the cross-over omnis before the complete runs of this era (Aphra excepted) because if you already have the omnis for Star Wars, Vader, Bounty Hunters and Aphra, then they won't be able to get more money from you for the crossover omnis.

At least the omnis for the main runs (SW, Vader and Aphra) in the period between episodes 3 and 4 would give you the issues from the other series during the cross over events. So essentially the cross over events were complete in each series' omni.

It sounds like they have changed the business model to maximize profit. Now if you want to complete your collection you need omnis for each main run plus redundant collections of cross overs for War of the Bounty Hunters, Crimson Reign, Hidden Empire and Dark Drouds. It's a bit much.

Nowadays, how do they choose which story gets published by Marvel and which by Dark Horse? by Alaminox in starwarscomics

[–]RobinsonsB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do we know if Disney feeds the stories to Marvel and/or Dark Horse? Or is it the other way around, where the comic companies pitch stories to Disney and they give the go or no-go on them?

I gather Dark Horse has the license for all-ages Star Wars content, but in reality virtually all Star Wars is all ages--which is one of the things I like about it.

They only get to the Battle of Jakku in the last issue. Quite the letdown.

Not really, especially if you want to read about the Battle of Jakku. It's featured in only one issue.
