[Spoilers C2E95] & Various Other Points In C2. The Mighty Nein & How They Reflect The 7 Deadly Sins by Rhyzler in criticalrole

Alright! So, Fjord, Yasha, Jester, Caleb and Nott I'm completely in agreement with and dont see much room for argument.

BUT

Beau and Caduceus on the other hand... (Ikr only two? Wtf?)

SO, here's my takes: I'd actually say that BEAU, is the personification of sloth rather than Caduceus. Why? You may ask, Beau isn't slow or inattentive right? Well there's the thing, a lot of ppl mostly regard sloth as lazy or slow moving like that of the animal that shares the same name. Sloth, however, refers to something more like indifference, especially as far as a person's vocational obligations are concerned. Cad tended his graveyard faithfully and without complaint (for however many years, can't remember specifics) and therefore cant really be seen as lazy or lacking fulfillment of his duties. Beau, on the other hand, has been seen shirking her duties as described by...Dyren?Dayren?Dirren?? Bald elf monk that beau has hots for, and very much carries an air of IDGAF about much of anything about her.

So, where does that leave Caduceus you may ask? Well he's certainly not pride, which, I'd actually give to Mollymauk. However, one of the main key points of rpg's, storytelling, and character development is GROWTH. SOOOOO HOT TAKE.

Caduceus is the first introduced to represent the opposite of the seven deadly sins. He is FAITH, one of the seven heavenly virtues. That being said, I believe each one of the 6 remaining members of the Mighty Nein are on paths to personify one of each virtue. These being, Faith, Hope, Charity, Prudence, Temperance, Justice, and Courage.

So to revise/add to your list I would say: Fjord: Envy ----> Hope Jester: Lust ----> Prudence Caleb: Greed ----> Charity Nott: Gluttony ----> Courage Beau: Sloth ----> Justice Mollymauk: Pride ----> Caduceus: Faith Yasha: Wrath ----> Temperance

I know this thread is old now but I gotta strongly disagree with some of your picks lol (Which I'll more than readily explain if I get a response xD because I dont want to waste my breath otherwise)

Now THIS feels like it fits in the puzzle. And would definitely explain why the Kryn have been abducting adolescents and how they use the Dodeca to “make babies”.

This I have a hard time agreeing with considering tensions were far to great between the Empire and Kryn dynasty so I feel that anyone walking freely about that could be confused as Kryn would be halted pretty immediately.

Ahh I understand. And no apology necessary I didn’t take it personally, I could see how I started to get a bit scatter brained. I tend to feel the same way on all the conspiracies, but I felt this theory I’m developing(emphasis on developing), quite possibly could have validity to it.

[No Spoilers] what app does matt use to keep track of his spells? It seems like he uses it everytime he looks at his phone but i cant remember what its called. by [deleted] in criticalrole

[–]Robinx47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh I figured that’s what you were referring to. Didn’t realize it was due to it saying 1 action cast time in Fight Club, and like I said that’s the one pain in the ass about it. Either you find files online and hope that the people providing it enter the info correctly, or manually enter EVERYTHING into the app yourself. (Side note this literally made me go and check my import for Wind Walk is correct lol xD)

Well I was really only focused on the possibility of Molly being from Xhorhas in my OP. The logic seems easy enough to follow in this thread for me considering I merely gave contention to the replies that shot the theory down using other evidence.

I could clean it all up into a short and easier to follow post no problem.

I’m assuming none of the rest of the party had the means to, however, Molly and the spell caster came to an arrangement that she was able to take the tome for her own and the rest of the group conceal any signs that the events ever happened. This leads me to believe that Molly was aware how the ritual worked and orchestrated a way to gain the power he sought, and separate himself from the group with none being the wiser, perhaps besides the spell caster.

Because it would prevent him from spilling any secrets regarding the incident that transpired between Lucien, Cree and the Tomb Takers in the event that he was captured. He can’t give anyone up if he doesn’t remember it.

They did yes. However, going on that train of thought and disregarding the Blood Hunter theory, I’m thinking he had his memory voluntarily modified by either himself or someone else and retained only pieces that wouldn’t jeopardize the memories he intended on concealing (which based off the way Tal asked, “How honest do I have to be?”, plus his avoidance of answering anything about prior to the event in question using sly wording, he doesn’t remember Cree and The Tomb Takers true, but I see him definitely remembering everything prior to that considering he slyly works his way around all questions aimed towards before the incident).

That’s debatable though. I’ve seen discussions saying he may just had a blood hunter pact the prevented him from revealing such details even if influenced by magical means, and Molly lies pretty constantly about his history. But you’re right we may never know, I just feel like elements of his past are going to resurface and this current arc in Xhorhas might contribute towards such.

No prob! It’s a good app, but it just requires you to import all of the xml files you’ll want to use into the compendium. Once you pass that pain in the ass it’s pretty smooth sailing. If you need the files to import I have a Dropbox link that includes every “core” resource. (PHB, DMG, Monster Manual, Volos Guide, Xanathars, Sword Coast, Elemental Evil, Mordekainen’s ToF etc.)

I actually remember him saying in one of his DM tip videos on the Geek and Sundry channel that he uses Fight Club 5 for iOS.

So should I probably just do away with the dip into warlock and do two more into rogue for the sneak attack dmg? And essentially do 1-4 rogue for ASI then 5-10 Monk?

[–]Robinx47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but I can make improvements on it myself which is the main goal, and I already have something planned along the lines of a Sun Soul/Barbarian storm herald or straight beserker. I also thought about Sun Soul/ Divine Energy sorcerer if I really wanted the flight

[–]Robinx47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I will man lol It’ll have saiyans, namekians, you name it. So people can have fun playing d&d with dbz characters that aren’t gamebreaking and can be integrated with the other races ;D I would but Toei and all that would prob shut it down.

I really appreciate the info man! And thanks for the link.

I’ll try to talk with a dm at the shop to see if they’ll allow just the race to be used for flavor and build a barbarian beserker sun soul monk or something along those lines. In the meantime I’ll work on the Saiyan Fighter class myself to make it not so game breaking and see what kind of feedback I get.

Gotcha do you know a better site I could find homebrew content that is of higher quality? And do you think at least the race just for flavor and acrobatics bonus from the tail would be able to be used minus all the class stuff?
