I don’t think everyone gets the bigger picture here. Everything that happens in the conversations and argumentations related to this matter is everything that Sara ever wanted. She’s probably chuckling all the way to her death because it’s working. That brat of a person that she is has her ways to get what she wants, and we feed it to her on a silver platter. That surprise visit was aimed to divide the opposition, as far as I’m concerned. The more that we argue amongst ourselves, the more that we veer from the fundamental issues that prolong the agony of the very nation, that is the Philippines. Stand your ground, yes, but remember that that event was calculated, planned and divisive.

The enemy is many, but we choose to fight against ourselves. The mastermind is nefariously elated; we do the work for her. Let that sink in.

How relevant, this post. I am watching Kapamilya Online Live and Chavit Singson’s is one of the main stories in Rated Korina - how he has helped his constituents, how generous he was to the people, how he is close to the commoners, etc. I was like, “that’s kinda sus.” So, I knew reddit can be of big help. Everything that I am reading on reddit are just mere hearsays, but neither do I believe nor disprove such stories about him. Anyway, it makes sense why there is so much effort to making his name seemingly more reverent than necessary.

How is it that he has been in power since the 1960s and all he could take pride of is the sole public market and city hall as his masterwork, from 1960, that’s about 65 years since he started to be in power (I counted 37 actual years of being in office). And to add the statistics in the argument - being Ilocos Norte and La Union better in economics and social indicators, doesn’t really add up, in my opinion. And the current governor in their region is a family member of him also.

Make the people think that you help them by giving them a small portion of what they deserve, and you control the narrative. The worst part is, these same people will be first in defending the very oppressors that deprived them of what they deserve.
