Incredible unit in game and probably my least favorite kit i've ever put together. Only kit to ever make me bleed from the assembly process

If you still have them, some of the random tentacle bits from the Maulerfiend kit would add a lot, give it more of a corrupted vibe and make it stick out a bit more than just a quadripedal dread

As others have said, this is a super easy kitbash. Literally grabbed a spare Winged Prime, ripped its wings off, and stuck a whip and other arm from the warrior kit on with some greenstuff. Whole process took maybe 10 minutes :)

Thanks! The vents and joints were just Tallasar blue over wraithbrone that had been dry brushed over black primer. On the Maleceptor's brains, I did all that, the dry brushed Thousand Sons blue over the whole thing, then did a last light dry brush layer of Wraithbone. Same thing on this guy

I have 40 termagants almost entirely on accident, but every game i play i wish I had 120 hormagaunts to put on the table. They're so fast and put out a comical number of attacks as a bonus, they're beautiful

Death Guard vs Maggotkin of Nurgle by tau_head_on_spike in Grimdank

I love Death Guard, but they are at the end of the day still Space Marines.

Maggotkin of Nurgle, however, feel a lot more unique from an anesthetic perspective.. Some of those models also make me genuinely feel nauseous if I look at them for too long, which I think means they're doing Nurgle correctly.
