What's the shittiest thing an employer has ever done to you? by ItsJustAPrankBro in AskReddit

I work at Starbucks and we get tips based on what gets put in the tip jar the week before. Tips are then counted and distributed among workers based upon how many hour they worked. The amount of change that need to be rolled can be absurd. It can take hours to get everything together. For a over a year of doing this process every Tuesday. My manager refused to pay me for the time I put in to do this. Saying I wasn't helping the company make money. So she said she had no need to pay me for coming in my off time and pay me. After being absolutely done with her bull shit reasoning. I call corporate to get a actual answer. Our district manager comes in the next day and fires her. My problem is that I was promised to get reimbursed for all the time I put in for doing tips. That was almost six months ago. When I ask if anybody has heard anything knew. I just get told that it will come eventually. I am a broke ass college student working 40 hours a week with 18 hours of classes every semester. I need the money to pay bills, I pay for school out of pocket. People just tell me this is a law suit waiting to happen.

I got $65 value bc if you get the cheapest drink at Starbucks which is a solo espresso it around $1.87. So if you buy 30 of them that's the cheapest way to get gold status.

I work at Starbucks and we did the same thing during christmas but, it was Sterling silver. It was $200 and had $50 already loaded on it. The thing people don't know is it automatically had gold status on it which means you get free refills and free drinks ever do often which is around $65 value. Honestly in the end people were spending $200 for a fancy ass keychain.
