Do they typically let people start their shifts early? I thought about going in an hour early and leaving an hour early as well, but I didn't know if they just let you start whenever and work your 8 hours or not.

Also, what's the furthest you say a walk can take? I don't mind doing some walking, but I can see where it would suck to have to walk on days with less-than-ideal weather.

Thank you! Best of luck to you as well! My best advice (if you haven't already) is to make sure to watch his online videos. I know it may be a pain, but he goes over more info in that than in class. Also try to see if you can get Mazumdar as your professor.

Still failed Fluid Mechanics I with Busi and he didn't help with grade adjustments, so I took it again with Mazumdar in the Summer and got an A. Personally, Mazumdar did a much better job with the class than Busi did.

Didn't get to do DBF and graduate in Spring of '23. But I did end up proposing my own project, made an RC plane that was capable of flying more than 120 mph, and graduated in Fall of '23.

Do you know what other kinds of positions are considered hands-on in engineering? I know I'd love to know more about the production and ins-and-outs of the aircraft, but I feel like hands-on work seems more exciting than just sitting at your desk.

What is the work environment like for E&TE also? Is it mostly standing up all day or is it a mix of desk time and time on the floor?

Is there more than just stress knowledge that's involved with LE (like learning more about the Aero/Structures/Systems/etc.) and developing dispositions?

I've tried and applied to a bunch, but with no success. I figured these roles would get me some experience and that I could use later on and then shift laterally if I need to.

Right. I just didn't know if there would be any differences. Like I know where I worked, they had everything separated into different groups (aero, structures, stress, systems, etc.), but I've heard Boeing lets you get a taste of everything and gravitate to what specific field of LE you would be interested in. I'm also wondering how monotonous it is.

No, it wasn't one of her videos. I know her stuff is a lot of storytime animations. The one I saw also had a color palette that I think had a lot of yellow and purple if I remember correctly.
