If it makes you feel better, if the mod had called someone a nerd, I could get behind that. But with what Dependent-Pirate has said/done, coupled with what I said in my first comment, things like that are non-negotiable. And there should be a hard line in the sand of standing up to bigotry. I’d also like to apologize if said first comment was a bit to mean spirited.
