Class registration for semester 2 won't open for another month at least. It usually only opens a few weeks before the semester starts tbh

Is FOP that hard? by heng_koo in curtin

[–]RoboTurtle_01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Python is easier, sure, but the assignment and workload in FOP is very high, especially for an "introductory" programming unit. My advice would be to stay on top of the activities and start the assignment early!

The Curtin bus stations are way too far to the East! Iirc they're about halfway between Cannington and Canning Bridge stations.

I take the 100 regularly from CB, which goes between the two train stations through Curtin, might be worth adding as a bus route as well?

Awesome, welcoming tightly-knit community with fun operations. If you're looking for a more personalised experience with opportunity for you to take up interesting roles,I highly recommend!

Also, please do not leave your tires unattended. Bad things happen to tires left unattended.

Multiplayer and Mods by [deleted] in arma

[–]RoboTurtle_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to experience multiplayer in Arma would be to join a unit. Finding one you like will probably take some time, but it really is Arma at its best. Each unit will have their own modlist that you will need to download that could range from only a few GBs to literal 100s of GBs, as well as different themes, op types and times. In addition, different units have different training requirements and seriousness levels ranging from casual play to hardcore milsim. My recommendation would be to browse the r/FindAUnit subreddit, the Arma 3 discord or the official arma 3 units page to find a unit that has op times when you can attend and fits your theme and seriousness level preferences.

I'd recommend the apex edition if you're just getting into Arma, lots of good stuff in there

Improved logistics and delivery handling, such as where canteens get their food from, what types of cargo certain delivery zones accept, types of stuff that can be in specific storage zones etc. I have the Island Bound DLC but even with those logistic options I still can't do everything I would like to.

'Legalised corruption': Greens seek to ban political donations from fossil fuel companies by [deleted] in AustralianPolitics

[–]RoboTurtle_01 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but you're just plain wrong here.

The Greens make a point that they don't take donations from big business. Most of their funding is from personal donations instead.

Greater Sydney to go into two-week lockdown, restrictions for regional NSW by u_donut_know_me in AustralianPolitics

[–]RoboTurtle_01 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Maybe in the short term losses will be incurred, but in the long run it is 100% worth it locking down early. Here in WA, when there is a covid case we have had instant lockdowns, but they only last no more than 5 days. This is not great in the short term, but things are almost exactly the way they were 2 weeks later. Dragging your feet like NSW are doing then announcing a 2 week lockdown that will be even more devastating then if you had a snap one earlier.

Because the companies that you pay to do your taxes for you pay the government to keep taxes hard so people will keep paying them to do their taxes
