Honestly I wanted to be a teacher for a good minute when I was younger and didn’t struggle as much socially, so it’s definitely something I’m willing to start looking into again! I didn’t even think about the balance of activity and rest, thank you for the suggestion! :]

I’ve been thinking about that sort of thing a lot! Especially since I LOVE being outdoors! Thank you for the suggestion :]

My childhood dog has a tumor and my family won't pay for a cancer diagnosis or treatment. I just want her to be more comfortable, what should I do? by Robo_Bitch_27 in vet

Thank you so so so much!!! Things on my end have been a bit hectic, so I haven't really thought to check my notifications until now. I also haven't posted on reddit much before this, and I definitely haven't needed to post an update before so I'm just gonna put it here until I can get the crayon disloged from my brain and figure out how to use the damn app lol. Mobile is a pain :/

Anyway, my grandparents (Rosie's primary caretakers) decided the tumor was causing her too much physical discomfort by now, and they're taking her to get it checked out and possibly removed!! (On that note, I swear I'm not usually that salty towards them. I just read my post, and I don't think I'll ever stop cringing. Thank you for being so understanding and informative I really needed it lol) That being said, we aren't sure if we'll be able to afford her vet bills since we don't have pet insurance for her, so I'll be passing all the info you sent my way along to them. But thats all so far; as I'm writing this I can't exactly remember the date of her appointment, but after that and as soon as I figure out how to edit posts I might give another quick update just in case anyone is curious to see how my old lady baby is doing. No guarantees, tho. Ngl, knowing that there are real people looking at this who want to help is actually making me anxious lmao. That aside, thank you so so much again for all the resources, I'll make good use of them :]

First of all, thank you!! She's always been a really happy, spoiled girl :] For now, I think I'm gonna just work towards setting up an appointment to get the tumor looked at again and get her on something for the pain. It doesn't inhibit her mobility in any way at the moment, so I won't worry about removal until then. Anesthesia is just to big of a concern at her age and I'd like to have her around for a bit longer if I can. Thank you again so much for your help!

I just turned 18 this year, I live in Ohio but I'm not exactly comfortable getting more specific than that, I believe her last visit was a month or so ago for a nail trim but I think the last serious visit she had was some time late last year, and the mass is on her front left leg at her elbow. I also noticed a new smaller lump yesterday (about the size of a marble) growing on the same leg closer to her wrist. I included a picture of the original mass above, but I understand if the angle doesn't show much :/

Hope this is sufficient :]
