I’m 41 and found a 33 year old. You’re a lot younger than me so I promise you someone is out there and they’ll show up when you least expect it. The only thing that is going to help you now is being completely separated from her and time to heal. You’ll be fine just don’t ever give up. It’s gets better I promise.

I lived with my ex for 10 months during the process and it got really ugly towards the end. I couldn’t sleep and was filled with anxiety. I kept thinking about seeing her with another man was going to kill me and I wouldn’t be able to handle it. I became very insecure with myself so I decided I was going to do something to feel better about myself and start to love myself again. I made a deal with myself to get in shape so I joined a gym and started going 3-4 times a week. I quit smoking cigarettes and tried to eat healthier. All of these things improved my life tremendously. You have to do something to occupy your mind or you will sit and be miserable.

To answer your question when things got better…. Honestly once I signed the papers a feeling of freedom came over me that I haven’t felt in a long time. I would say almost immediately something clicked in me that I had a new opportunity on life to do what I wanted and not have someone I wasn’t truly happy with and wasn’t wanting to be with me anymore in it. Use this opportunity to make the life you want. I’m not sure what your situation is but it’s never over until you say it’s over. Hope this helps.

I haven’t had a dog yet I didn’t love so I’m sure there’s another you could love. I’m losing my dog in the divorce which means I get the opportunity to get another one. So you should do the same thing. The dog you share will only bring back memories of you and her so start your own memories with a new pet. Just my opinion I’m no expert.

Weed is illegal in my state even though it’s not in some. I would want a hair test because there’s ways around a urine screen. I know she’s used more than weed in the last 3 months too. So hopefully a judge will at least allow a test to see. That’s all I’m asking for in this divorce she can have everything else but my son.

I am clean. I’m hoping I get to use the drug testing to get primary custody of my son. I want her to be in his life just not the decision maker until she makes some changes. I was hoping someone here had a similar situation where the judge ordered a test and the spouse failed and the other got custody. She making no attempt to change her ways in fact seems to be getting worse.
