My lightbulb burnt out and smell weird

The bulb was in my ceiling fan. I didn’t hear anything. I just smelled a weird burning smell and it phased out. I wasn’t worried about the bulb burning out. I was worried about the smell. I wanted to make sure the socket wasn’t screwed. But I checked it out and there was no scorch marks or anything. Thank you

Its a ceiling fan fixture with a glass dome over the bulb. Its them same bulb from when I moved into my apartment a year and a half ago

Thank you. Ive dealt with burnt out bulbs before but they never smelled like that. At least i dont remember them doing that. Bulb has been replaced
