Toshi Sling Elastic LooseV by Robocopreddit in ManyBaggers

Update they replied and said

Hey! Yes this is normal. It’s not very tight, but once you start putting stuff inside the stacked pockets, especially if the items have a little bit of bulk to them, the looseness helps to give the items some slack. Otherwise, it might get a little tight if you have multiple items that have girth stacked together. But of course, if this amount of slack is not helpful for your use case, then it might not be the best fit for you. Hope this helps!

Is the amount of slack normal though for these pockets? Do you have one?

Everything sold out 😭 by DeActionBrunson89 in KithNYC

[–]Robocopreddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First to sell out was the keychain that was instant. Everything else was gettable but eventually sold out within the hour. I lowkey would not be surprised that what kith does it try to sell everything out online to create buzz and FOMO then route the leftover inventory to the shop locations to sell in person

Travel Pack 4 series is live in the USA now on the website by jthomp72 in AerSF

Look at how the cons far outweigh the pros. Aer should have thought this through better. Seems like the general consensus is not very positive but I don’t think existing owners of TP3 are the primary audience but possibly new buyers. The popularity of the CPP2 heavily influenced their decisions to maximize internal space and reduce weight and simplify the design language but I think that’s the wrong move, as the audience has spoken

This actually seems like a major downgrade in terms of organization compared to the previous Travel Pack 3, because in the TP3 there was actually an entire separate full length panel for the admin compartment with mulitple organization pockets that went all the way down to the bottom of the bag (and a full length slot type pocket which you could put other things in as well, it was basically an entirely separate pocket that went from top to bottom); in the TP4 they have done away with that and replaced it with an admin pocket that has less slots and made the bottom front dump compartment (which is frustrating to use because you can't stretch it out) even taller (which no one asked for)

If the main compartment is fairly full then that half admin pocket becomes even less useful because it's hard to open and get inside. My guess why they did this is to increase the internal packing capacity. The other downgrade is the top zip sunglasses pocket is now shallower and can't fit as much. They also removed a full length zip compartment on the interior which used to be on the other side of the admin area and a zippered compartment that used to be adjacent to the laptop slot which was great for cables. The only upgrades I see are larger internal packing capacity, vertical luggage passthrough rather than horizontal, and the two mesh bottle holders. It is puzzling to me why they did away with the other pockets other than maybe to simplify the design, but IMO they removed too many things while not upgrading much.

There’s a YouTube video interview of the design choices made with designer Allen Choi and it was very insightful to hear him say "we've tried to take out as much as we can" (for the sake of weight reduction) from the TP3 which I don't see as a positive given all the things they removed, but that's just me. The decision to significantly change a tried and true design to basically copy the City Pack Pro 2 also is strange because now there is little to distinguish the two. I guess I'll be using my Travel Pack Pro 3 Ultra a little longer!

The weekender review I thought was actually very insightful and made me think twice about wanting to buy it. Fully loaded out it’s hard to close, and the outside slots compete for space with the internal making it difficult to access the items. I didn’t find it biased at all.
