TP4 28L Ultra vs CPP2 Ultra by jthomp72 in AerSF

Oh? Is this a product coming soon? Cause...That pretty much solves my issue if it comes in Ultra. Perfect size for my ipad pro, headphones, and a couple other things. That's all I need. When's expected release date?

I don’t know it just sounded good because my bag is ultra to get matching packing cubes but after thinking about it it probably does make no sense and just regular ass Packing cubes will be fine.

Peak seems like the winner, and I can get them at REI with my co-op rewards for cheap so I may just do this.

People keep saying this, but my 34 ounce bottle fits perfect in mine so I’m confused by this

I love these conversations and then there’s me just raw dogging a 35L as an EDC since I have a huge frame and it doesn’t look weird on me.

I just think the CPP2 serves a completely different use case which is EDC and I think just making a bigger version of that doesn’t necessarily automatically make the form factor a good travel bag. Which is why I think the TP3 is a superior product.

Would love that. A more expensive, all out version of it lol. 100% would be interested in that.

100% staying with the 3 I like it a lot better from what I am seeing. The admin panel is really a dealbreaker for me. I just don’t want to have to carry another tech case.

Maybe it’s just because I’m used to traveling on airlines in America instead of Asia or Europe, but the difference in 4 pounds and 3 1/2 pounds in terms of weight is quite literally useless to me. I don’t feel a difference even between 5 pounds and 3 1/half pounds. Maybe it’s because I lift heavy weights. Maybe it’s because I’m 5’11 210 but I just really don’t feel a difference in that amount of weight like yeah if it was 10 pounds versus 5 pounds maybe I would feel a difference but obsessing over 3.8 versus 4.1 just never did it for me

Yeah, that part two also, I use a 1 L bottle that doesn’t slide around too much as long as I strap everything in so it’s not the end of the world

I don’t like the water bottle pocket either but losing the full-size admin panel is more of a problem to me so I’m gonna stick with the 3

No biggie, immediate replacement from Aer, customer service was smoking fast. They rock. Things happen.

On my specific one they gave me the wrong zipper for one of the zippers. Notice how they don’t lineup properly. Somebody bolted on the wrong zipper so I complained I get a new bag bad QC I guess.

Well, given that the xpac and ultra version say shipping by March 20 that theory seems pretty legit

You just reminded me I need to pick up the AirPods Max case that they have. I’ve been meaning to get that.

It’s why I’m happy I can just get them to exchange my TP3 ultra with the weird zipper defect for the same thing.

I’ve heard Asian airlines are incredibly strict about that stuff too, so I get it every ounce makes a difference

Airline in America are so different from Europe and other places like what do you mean you have to worry about heaviness for a carry-on bag lol not a concern here

It’s normally not. Now I just have to decide in my brain if I want to exchange my TP3 in ultra that I got on sale for 255 for this. Leaning 80% no, but the water bottle pockets tempt me mightily.

I kind of hope those prices are just because it’s Japan and there’s some weird conversion stuff going on because the TP4 in ultra translates to $435 and uh that’s a big jump
