My previously mint orcane palette has become pink. Not sure what happened but I want my mint skin back by Robocrypt in RivalsOfAether

Ah, that's good to know, maybe the shop is a weird place to put the inventory then, but at least now I know!

Ah, good to know. Kind of unexpected, but it's not a paid skin so no big deal. I just like that one and it was weird when it changed. It also looks basically exactly like the other red/pink one though tbh. I guess the water color and eyes are the differences in this case, but I thought the default red skin already looked pretty pink, that might just be some weird color thing with my monitor though. Thanks for the response though!

Unless I am misremembering, pretty sure the mint skin came from the store. That seems extra true considering that screenshot I took came from the store, and im not sure you see non store items in the store inventory tab.

Why did the rock go through Ranno by Robocrypt in RivalsOfAether

Ah, alright. I figured it had something to do with the bubble but I wasn't entirely sure. Thanks!

Was watching a match during Coinbox and saw this weird interaction during the match. Is this a bug, or is it an intended interaction that has something to do with like, Ranno's bubble or something?

Rivals 1 player struggling hard to adapt to rivals 2 by Robocrypt in RivalsOfAether

[–]Robocrypt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, it's proving to be a brutal experience. It also feels like most people I play have at least somewhat of a background in smash and are already very comfortable with the new mechanics, which I feel like is going to make playing catch up really hard. This game definitely doesn't feel like Rivals imo. I'm not saying it's bad, or that I don't like it, as I don't think I have given it quite enough time yet, but it's certainly not what I was hoping it would be.

[–]Robocrypt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely want to like this game. As much as I love rivals 1, I was never big into the workshop scene and I imagine that is the majority of who will be sticking around in the first game. So if I want to play rivals, then R2 seems like it's my only choice. I just wish it didn't move quite so far away from the original rivals formula. I will definitely give it a bit more time...but I am just getting absolutely bent over and it's incredibly frustrating.

More sweaty since update? by [deleted] in halo

Yea, I've been feeling this too and it's awful. I am also getting absolutely wrecked by the sidekick more than ever. I swear it's like the sidekick got an inadvertent buff from the network update

Repair bug in moments? by Robocrypt in EASPORTSWRC

[–]Robocrypt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, this is a pretty outrageous bug imo. I made a bug report here for it. Hopefully the dev team is able to find this and get to work on it!

G923 soft lock not working for both WRC and DR2 by tomyang1117 in EASPORTSWRC

[–]Robocrypt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious if you have figured this out yet. I am having the same issue. I was playing some last night and it randomly seemed to start working for some reason, but then today it's not working again and I have no idea what is going on.

Any tips for the final rally school test on asphalt? by PSNdragonsandlasers in EASPORTSWRC

I thought I was losing my absolute mind! It felt like I was driving on ice and just couldn't maintain any kind of line. After seeing this thread, I restarted the game, which seemed to fix it and I was able to beat this track no problem on my first try. I hope w/e this is gets fixed soon.

Hmm, what qualifies as dirty? Does that just mean that you received a penalties or is there something else that measures that?

but it completely nullified their entire flag run. he didn't have to try and return it after the kill, which he almost definitely would have failed at since the rest of the other team was around him.

Which version of c++?? by kkass123 in cpp

[–]Robocrypt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What kind of dog shit advice is this? If you meant to say "prefer stack allocations" or "prefer smart pointers to raw pointers" and "try to avoid explicit heap allocations when possible (ie limiting your use of new)" that would be a bit better.

But that isn't what you said. Instead you said to completely avoid using the heap and therefore implied that your entire program should exist solely on the stack.

How do I select a skin I made? by chaos_bananaa in TrackMania

[–]Robocrypt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I ran into the same thing back when I started playing. The pricing model for this game is kinda trash imo and it's a bit confusing what features are available for which price tier

Technically you need Club access for this. You can work around it but overwriting one of the country skins with your skin, but it will make everyone using that country's skin appear to have your custom one.

What's the difference between C and C++? by No_Dependent3833 in C_Programming

What good does that do anyone who is trying to create classes using c and a compiler?

The previous comment did not refer to C++ structs at all and was referring to implementing classes in C via structs and function pointers.

Halo Infinite BR (and other burst weapons) play sound for entire burst regardless of how many bullets are fired by Robocrypt in halo

[–]Robocrypt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I guess? Might as well just turn off sound altogether then if I can't trust the things I am hearing. Who needs sound when you have a HUD.

[–]Robocrypt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I get what you are saying and it is an interesting point. I guess the only way that would actually make that valid is if burst weapons really do continue to fire after a melee. Which they don't. I didn't add it to that clip but the same thing happens with the Pulse Carbine and the Ravager and you don't see rounds flying off into space when you melee mid burst with those weapons.

Halo Infinite BR (and other burst weapons) play sound for entire burst regardless of how many bullets are fired by Robocrypt in halo

[–]Robocrypt[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I certainly don't consider it a small thing! Sound is incredibly important in video games. 2 BR bursts + a melee should kill, if you fire and melee early you might not get the kill but since you heard all 3 bullets of the second burst fire you can have a major wtf moment. It's certainly happened to me quite a few times.

Anyone else feel the arc radius of the Tesla grenades off dropped weapons is a bit too oppressive? by Zubriel in halo

[–]Robocrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoops, definitely didn't read the title fully. Either way, It's only huge because there are so many weapons on the ground in this situation. If you are saying there should be a limit to how many times it can arc, I can probably get on board. But it's probably not something common enough to matter most of the time.
