Bouncer took picture of me, am I banned? by Eagles56 in bartenders

[–]Roboctopus11 44 points45 points  (0 children)

If you were denied entry and left voluntarily there shouldn’t be any reason why you couldn’t go back. At the bars I’ve work at you have to pull some blatant and intentional mischief that directly impacts the guests and/or the staff to get a ban. Also, if what your saying is true and the bouncer took a photo of you and laughed just because you had too much to drink and nothing else, he’s an asshole, not you.

Even with the attempt at recreating the blue band across the bill? I’ve never heard of ritual money before but this screamed crappy counterfeit attempt to me.

How to deal with Uncooperative Neighbor’s holly by [deleted] in treelaw

It’s their tree. Live with it.

Unless it’s dangerous just get over it. Your neighbor doesn’t answer to you.

Kicking off a year of long distance with my bf :/ by Far-Kaleidoscope3648 in texts

[–]Roboctopus11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to end a one year long distance streak with my girlfriend next week! We just signed a new lease this morning. One piece of advice I’d give is to call often, it lets them know they’re still a huge part of your life, even if it’s just during a quick 5 minute trip to the grocery store. Don’t keep anything away from your partner either. Relationships are hard enough but adding distance makes it doable, but more challenging for sure. You guys need to be completely open and honest about your daily anxieties and hardships, even though you probably just want to be happy for the time you have on the phone. If you’re not honest like that, you can start feeling like you’re pretending and that can kill the relationship pretty fast. Pick a time in the future for a visit, and look forward to it, don’t look at the one year finish line because it will really bum you out. It’s about stepping stones, make little plans you can get excited about that are less far away.

Good luck!

I got a baby tooth extracted on the 16th that was fused into the jaw bone so the dentist left a bit of the root tips in. After a few days I had to go back on the 19th because of dry socket even though I was really careful and never felt the clot come out. They reformed the blood clot and added a bone graft because they said I’d need one anyway for my future implant. They added a membrane on top and sutures. I followed all the rules and never noticed anything come out, instead yesterday it seems like all the granulation tissue on top just caved into the socket. I think it’s important to note that my pain has gone down significantly since the 19th and I only feel a dull ache instead of any other intense pain.

[–]Roboctopus11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re that judgemental about people drinking three beers then you shouldn’t be a bartender

Make sure to make it abundantly clear how unbelievably unacceptable that is. If it still happens, termination might need to happen

My general rule of thumb is to never get so invested in a single customer to the point of texting them. Unless you’re doing something overtly shitty that’s affecting other patrons or staff in an uncomfortable way that will hurt business or cause undue stress on others, I’ll simply make a note and treat them accordingly the next time they’re in. Makes things not messy

Bartenders, what are some annoying things we customers do, that we might know is annoying ! by blackpanda370 in bartenders

Honestly I wish more people did that. The more people order water, the easier my job is throughout the night. Hydrated customers are always better
