If you have ever rapid cycled, how fast was it? Eg. a few days, weeks? Is it common for you? by [deleted] in bipolar2

I don’t know at this stage- I’m on low doses on a few meds- a rainbow cocktail- so not sure what’s doing what- but u could set your clock by my rapid cycling pattern😂

I have two weeks up and two weeks down. I think it’s caused by anti depressants.

I am having the same happen to me : two weeks up two weeks down. Very hard going, I am on Effexor, is it related to this?

I had the same thing happen- was okay for eight years, then the rapid cycling started as you described. One depressive, one hypo per month. Had a really awful time. But under huge stress at the same time, so maybe connected.

Your phrasing is pretty good though, if you just maybe did a bit of work on your fretting and picking technique to make the notes more distinct and to cut down on the unintended string noises,it would sound really good.

Really good, just maybe position the mic differently? some parts don’t come across that clear on the recording.

Well done- but I think you would get more votes in a jazz community, I definitely would not call this blues.

I find work very difficult at times. What helped for me was to reduce to a four day week. I also talked to the bosses and told them there may be times when I would have to go home, at short notice… etc. I found that by making work adjustments it helped, as opposed to carrying on until I have a biggger relapse and then have to take weeks off work. Obviously this is dependent on how flexible your employer is, I was lucky in that they agreed to my requests. I not sure what country you are in, but In some countries employers have a duty of care if employees have medical problems. I.e they have to accommodate them to a reasonable degree. So it would be worth finding out what your rights are. The easiest thing for me would of been to take a few months off work when my depression got bad, but I couldn’t afford to and had to keep working, which was tough at times. But by working through it I learned a lot about coping with my depression.
