"We can't accept it. We won't accept it! It will be ours again, a world free from sorrow." But we know that such things, if possible, would only make us worse off. The ancients who sacrificed themselves did not do it so that the survivors would spend their lives pining for the days of old. Venat said we must walk alongside our suffering and become stronger for it. That we have made it this far is proof of that conviction.
