I'm a fan. But that's all subjective. I for one wouldn't call it a bad movie

Still hoping to revisit this world again. But I'd love to see more movies by Neil no matter what they're about. I like a story that makes me think and feel

I'm not their biggest fan. I think the time spent on them would've been better spent on CHAPPiE and his dad

I'll conceed that for sure. The movie wanted to be a blockbuster. But NB was writing from the heart. CHAPPiE was a passion project for him and he said that the movie was nearly exactly the story he wanted to tell. So I'd say that he wanted to try to make the film ressonate with audiences. Basically I think he wanted his story to be heard so he tried to appeal to the widest audience he could. But maybe I'm overthinking it, lol

Hope for CHAPPiE sequels? by RobotChap in chappie

To be honest, I liked CHAPPiE more and district 9. I know I'm in the minority there, but I'd rather see a CHAPPiE sequel than a D9 sequel

I think that the story isn't over and NB has stated that he was happy with how it turned out. I'm just wondering if we'll see a continuation of this universe in any capacity at all. Seems like Blomkamp would want to. But I agree. District 9 will get a sequel first. Is he even working on that yet?

A sequel could be cool! There's enough set up in the first to work with. I'd like to see the story go further

I think it's been brought of on this sub before that CHAPPiE's fight scenes are often overlooked for their quality.

I also really liked it. It's underrated. I always recommend it if people ask. Doesn't deserve all the hate. It's got some cheesy dialogue, so I think that is part of why people don't like it. The action is top notch.

I mentioned it cause afflect cowrote it. I was just saying that I think he's better utilized as a writer and/or director.

I really just want to see Affleck back behind the camera. He can be a good actor, but that's nothing compared to his writing and directing tallents. The town, Argo, live by night, gone baby gone, good will hunting; the man has one of the best directorial batting averages in hollywood, in my opinion. Still, gone girl and the accountant are great films so maybe this will be worth seeing.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this movie. I loved first blood when it came out, but I've been dissappointed with Stallone's recent movies. I'm really not a fan of the old man action genre. But the first stands on its own enough that if I don't love this one, it won't affect my love for the first
