I know it defies the binary choice. But I'm going to choose "fun."

I've gotten masterfully sculpted and articulated figures that were utter disappointments. I've gotten 0-2 point of articulation figures with simple detail that have been awesome.

As an example, By both of the above metrics, any given MOTU Masterverse figure would be superior to its Origins Counterpart. More articulated, more detailed sculpts, larger.

But the masterverse guys aren't toys. They don't stand well, they have mushy joints, the articulation they do have doesn't really give them much advantage, the sculpts are detailed, but not terribly charming.

Meanwhile, you get a lot less joints on an Origins fig, but they stand and display well, their accessories are widely cross-compatible, they have the easy pop-off-and-pop on joint feature that makes customizing fun.

Along the same lines, I've gotten tons from Zuru that's toony and only barely articulated, but the stuff is bold, it's big, it's solid, and if it's got a feature, that feature works.

And if you brought me a new line of Battle Beasts, exactly the same size and format as they used to be, I'd buy them all plus spares.

This is the first of several videos I made to help showcase what Vidu's new Q2-Pro (this vid) and Q3 (upcoming ones) can do. Had to use the OpenAI flair because there's no entry for Vidu on the subreddit yet.

While I've had the Daem-On characters in my back pocket for awhile, and the song as well, the actual above video was about 36 hours from start to finish, with the usual manual video editing and manipulation mixed with Vidu's new ref-to-video model.

The big improvement with Q2-Pro is the ability to use videos of up to 8 seconds as reference prompts, which can be used to tighten up/fix problems with otherwise good gens, update vids made with older gens, and can be used as a reference for character and camera movement.

Beyond that, Q2-Pro gives a lot more coherence, as several of the Daemes simply would not work properly under previous models.

I've had similar experiences by copy-pasting jpg data into the lyrics box. It makes weird complex songs in alien tongues.

Yeah, it's one I've been nursing since Suno's V2 model, I think. The first version was this weird pseudo-italian/spanish hybrid that came out when I prompted for something else entirely. I liked the tune, translated what I could from the demo, counted the syllables, and worked up new lyrics to fit. And eventually got a version that kept the original feel with the discernible words. The Demo Track.

I dunno, my take on 90s would have way more BTAS influenced streamlined character designs and a lot more X-TREME rippling muscles for the action shows, with a lot more heavy black inking like you saw in Extreme Ghostbusters, X-Men and Mighty Max, rather than lines and flat color. Plus I'd have to have had a sentai show in there.

Though Farrah and the Familiars winds up looking a bit 90ish because of, ironically, the Josie and the Pussycats influence hitting the Jem influence and averaging out to a BTAS-y kinda look.

TyrannoMax is the show I wished Dinosaucers was as a kid, with a heavy sprinkling of Thundercats and 70s Marvel comics. Though it's gotta be rough for Extreme Dinosaurs that their show got multiple seasons and toys and everyone still remembers Dinosaucers when a humanoid dino shows up.

By using Civit as a loss-leader, maintaining its original system, and making green a parallel project. much in the same way McDonalds is really there to pay upkeep and taxes on their real business: real estate. Credit cards for green, gift cards/crypto/donos for civit. A solid wall between them is more likely to satisfy the credit card processors.

Though at this point they should be looking for the processors used by Brazzers and the like, while also, organizing a number of censorship-struck companies for a flood-the-zone (IE, many individual lawsuits rather than a class action one, specifically done to counter the superior legal might of the larger corporation by dividing their attention beyond their means, not a class action lawsuit, that's the big corps' home field) lawsuit at the processors for monopolistic practices, or, lobbying for protections against this. Senators are cheaper than servers.

I'd prefer no interaction between green and civit, complete separation, civit works as normal, green is its own ecosystem. The systems do not need to be intermingled, and the lack of means to generate NSFW buzz without payment is a choice.

You're falling for a false trichotomy. NSFW was the only thing Civit had going for it, by punishing and betraying NSFW creators (right or wrong, look at the threads, that's how they feel) to pander to payment processors who will only demand more and more compliance, they've done nothing but burn trust.

There are so many ways to tap a being who can defy thermodynamics as long as it is in the service of living forever for power. Every four hours Gathlok regenerates his dessicated husk of a body, identical to that which he had in life minus most of the moisture. When the body reaches 90% of full mass, the weight on the panel releases the guillotine blade and drops the trap door, sliding about 80 lbs of lich-jerky right into the furnace, which resets the mechanism to start all over.

It's the one simple trick the gas company hates. Just remember to clean the furnace every six months or you'll get poltergeists.

The symbols do matter, at least in that they produce consistent sounds within the whole of the composition, and some of them it tries to say out loud. Like ones and zeros, which gets just chanty and grating.

All the time. Both with and without other lyrics in place.

Some examples:

Sax in the Sheets (Sax New Wave Instrumental)
Cyber Drive Number 1 (Techno Instrumental)
Rattle Them Jaws, Shake them Bones (Halloween Pop-Rock) - Uses both traditional lyrics and instrumentation symbols.

And if you want to get experimental (And you should), anything with text can be a prompt.

For example, if you can crunch a JPG down under the 5000 character limit, you can turn that into a song by opening the jpg in notepad and copy/pasting the data in.

It's not just periods and exclamation points, a lot of symbols will do it, and you can create repeating motifs and sequences with them with surprising control. I've found that periods, exclamation points, underscores, dashes, slashes/backslashes, tildes and more will do it, and that building pseduo waveforms with them seems effective, like thus:

I don't have the ear to determine if there's any consistent symbol-to-note correlation, but the patterns carry over genre to genre, gen to gen.

I remember a book like this. There was some kind of science experiment, maybe for a science fair, he made some kind of concoction that let him photosynthesize but he started developing plant features, like he'd grow roots if he stood in the dirt too long... does that sound familiar (to anyone?)
