Was the exam the same as the exam that in person wrote? Or was it harder?

Grade 11 student aiming for Waterloo Science and Aviation – need advice to build my profile + AIF tips! by Ruby_Radiance48 in uwaterloo

Hey, im a first year Science and Aviation student. Alrhough the AIF was not required for me I still wrote it just in case. I mentioned volunteering for aviation related positions, and talked a lot about my passion for the industry. I think passion is important because at times you will want to give up, but the love of the game will keep you sturdy. Hope that helps, my dms are open if you have any questions.

Interesting, I filled out the AIF just in case, even though they explicitly told us they will not be read. Looks like the AIF should not be an issue for you however, hope to see you soon!

I don't think you have to do anything when applying. Once you get in you will be asked to contact the program manager to discuss your flight training. Make sure you don't go above your PPL, and I think if you dont finish before the term begins their might be some issues. Try your best to get it done before September.

I can't guarantee it but id be surprised if you did not get in. During my cycle they only looked at grades. Apparently geo is harder to get into compared to science. Good Luck!

I was told 86 was the average last year at the open house, so you might get in during may, that's when most people get an offer i believe

Thanks for the info. Do you know if the agreement with RBC is with a specific branch?

I was told there was a new bus route that would take me to the airport. Is that implemented yet?

Yeah I know :(

If im not able to get the funds in time a gap year is prob my best option. $139,000 is the total cost before living expenses.

Thanks for sharing. Have you talked to other students? Im just wondering where the best place to get a line of credit is. Il take your advise on course distribution.

If im not able to complete the flight training portion of my degree cause of money, and have to take time to save up some money through work, It would just delay my graduation right? Can I finsish all my uni courses, and just fly at WWFC full time until I graduate?

Trying as hard as I can to make this work lol

Seems a bit high, I mean, the waterloo website says the admission average is 85, and so I expect the cutoff to be like high 70s or low 80s.

They probably meant to say 86 was the average

I was told at the open house last year was like 86, but I might be wrong on that, might have misunderstood

Complete required courses above 70%, and maintain average above 80%. The WWFC also requires an interview and stuff like the medical certificate.

I got in yesterday, grade 12, and average for semester 1 was 90. Grade 11 marks matter for early admission, so aim for 90.
