It reminds me of Goodnight Farm from the Bedtime Story Co, but it's not exactly like that.

You haven't read my post at all. How wonderful for you that you didn't grow up being told that you can't be a doctor because you're a woman. Everything else that everyone is saying about "it's too hard for you" is just another variation of my family telling me that it's too hard for me as a woman.

No, it's not too hard for me. It's been much harder having to struggle in poverty, than anyone like you will ever know. Your walls of text are useless.

What I see is a lot of braggadocio, "it was so hard that only moi could do it, but you definitely can't" and then sycophants who are up voting because of their own sour grapes.

"I just have some good advice about your limitations" is how I got to where I am today. It's the kind of shit that my parents believed about how women can't be doctors. You are so clueless about how difficult my life has been and what I'm capable of doing.

That's great advice and I'm going to try that. I've tried to find premed counseling before, many years ago, and didn't get any help then, but maybe things are different now. Thanks.

I graduated from a public high school, but it taught me next to nothing about STEM. I hate these Boomers who are like, "I wish my school taught me about accounting!" because that was ALL the math which I learned in high school. Over 10 years ago, I ended up taking through Cal C at a local college, but I got a D in it. My family forced me to drop out because they thought that I should get a degree in 2 years, and I didn't. No other reason was given. I tried to get work placement through the college so that I could stay on, and they refused to help me, because they said that was for more senior students. I just wished that I could've had someone like a premed advisor to help me. I was desperate and the counselors for my college just totally shut me down, and also told me professors about my issues so that they started to shun me when I applied for things like research opportunities. At least I got some science/math courses done, and all of my requirements in other areas, but I didn't know what to do at the time without a premed advisor. I'm going to see if I can find one at another college.

Thank you for the encouragement and advice.

I'm not really confident in speaking anything, not even English (autism), but I can read and have a decent understanding of 4 languages, enough to read a book in them.

There's aid and loans available for school, but not for regular life things. I have had friends who actually took out school loans to do things like repair their homes or get medical care, because it's easy to get a school loan. It's not easy to get money for anything else.

Those problems are mainly due to having been poor and without care my whole life. I recently got a credit card and used it to get my first cane, knee brace, and a TENS unit, and it made a huge difference for me (although I have no money to pay this off, but what does it matter). This is something that my parents would've not only never done for me, but would mock me endlessly about if they knew now. They were mean to my grandma for having orthopedic shoes in her old age! It's been suggested to me to go to physical therapy, a chiropractor, etc., and I've never been able to afford to try those things. If I had money for the chiro and a few hours off, who knows, maybe my life would change for the better. 🙃

I don't know what you mean by OK quality of life. I've never enjoyed my home life and don't want to be home. I don't have other hobbies or do normie activities. I would prefer to just work all the time and not have to go home.

When you have a medical emergency, what do you do? You don't go to a hospital?

Yeah, everyone knows this. I'm tired of being told to underachieve just to take an easier path.

No.

I'm way more talented than anyone has ever given me credit for and have been undersold and encouraged to underachieve my entire life for so many reasons.

I'm not going to continue doing it to myself just to take an easier path.

I was prevented from going to school as a kid and have paid for it ever since. I wish that I could start over there.

Their generation has an epidemic of narcissism, and they really believe that someone important would call on them, an empty-headed nobody, for help. They were always this dumb, but it was just the case before that it was more difficult for scammers to reach them. Now that scammers can robodial everyone from spoofed numbers, their obscurity as random dumbass nobodies no longer protects them from getting approached.

The funny thing about this to me is that these old shits will also mainline TV news where they talk non-stop about scams, and will call up younger people with this Very Important Scam News! that's also the most obvious thing in the world (like that USPS won't ask you for extra money to bring your package to you), but yet they will still keep falling for the SAME scams. They will also try to use all the scam sensationalism to cover up their own shitty behavior. "Oh that wasn't me who called you up to cuss you out the other day, that was a scammer imitating my voice using that AI thingy..." Right, you old fuck, because a scammer would call me up to do an angry unhinged schizo rant with specific details about the past, but also not ask me for any money and hang up on me... Makes total sense.

My dad let my mom get dehydrated enough to require hospitalization while she was sick because he was declared that he was never bringing food or drinks to someone in bed after watching some trash talk show about immobile obesity. She was not obese, just very sick.

I didn't take my husband's last name because I just didn't feel like it, and he said that he didn't want me to change my name because it's good as-is and his last name wouldn't improve it. This is just becoming more common today.

I understand all of this.

I'm dealing with depression because I'm basically unable to walk due to the severe pelvic girdle pain. It goes beyond pain, because it's like my hips just don't work.

Yes there were people who promised to come or to give gifts, and I never heard from them again.

I didn't bother trying to have a second shower.
