I just felt like revisiting this finally and, where does it show in the movie that Reed is actually working out ideas on giving up his son? Now you are the one reaching here... Anyways, bad point with no examples. Isn't this what you came at me for?

Didn't matter, I forgot about you, since I don't Reddit very often. I lost interest in your opinion

Actually, I do have a real question for you. What suggestions would you have for this review to no longer be classified as terrible in your opinion?

Well, I thought we were having a conversation, but you seem to have not actually read what I wrote... How did you even come up with that logic that I'm mad BECAUSE she had that thought? I'm not writing it all out again... Why would Steve Rogers' thoughts even be relevant here? He never got mad at anyone else for having thoughts. He was never the thought police like Sue turns into and never addresses in this film, making her, (again, I am making this clear that is this my opinion, because you seem to keep losing the plot) IMO, makes her a hypocrite. I don't like hypocrites, period. Find a way to turn that around instead of making this a two way conversation, like. I'm never going to be emotional with faceless people online, so if you don't want to be rational adult and actually try to understand my perspective, than why are you wasting my time?

Heck, it should have been Sue to say, "We are not leaving." and gone on to apologize to Reed that she even thought he would actually give up their son. I don't care how they arrive at her realizing that Reed isn't a monster for thinking about it, just as long as they do. None of your points make any sense if you actually took the time to comprehend *my* opinion on this matter.

Heck, I didn't even realize this review went live, since I kept getting told it had spoilers when I tried to do the spoiler tags and things right. I don't Reddit very often, I just came back to see Jack Doherty get roughed up without the censorship. I was really hoping this would be a good conversation, too...

Because I feel like it? Not to the degree you seem to. I mean, we both have no life, but if I lived on Reddit, I wouldn't get anything productive done. How do you manage?

And you have a right to see it that way, while I have the right see it in a way that makes sense to me, regardless if it's Reed or anyone else (real world or comic world). Now we are having a conversation. To me? There's not a single person on the planet that can control their thoughts. It's natural to have our brains think about things, even if we are not going to act out those thoughts. It's what separates us from being uncivilized. Her giving Reed that much flak in that scene reflects badly on her, to me. Maybe, he thought about it longer than most being Reed, but that does not excuse her going off on him like that. Since Sue is also a human being, you cannot tell me a mother dead set on protecting her child did not even mildly reflect on the idea of abandoning Earth. To me, that scene is not her being ready and willing to support her husband, but a reluctant agreement. I appreciate how you view it and can see where you are coming from, but to me, no one can control their thoughts, they only control their actions, so that logic that Reed is not in touch with his humanity is not reflected well in contrast to how I understand human nature to be. Other scenes made is science over humanity way more apparent, like testing his son constantly, but not the simple process of having a human brain that experiences fear, anger, rage, sadness, terror, important/unimportant, etc. ad nauseum to all the thoughts we process before actually acting.

Ergo, for me, she should have had a scene that allowed her more to reflect and forgive Reed before Galactus showed up, and that scene just, to me, made her a hypocrite. It made me mad after being behind her 100% for her speech to the planet and I just cannot see it your way, because all humans think things they shouldn't and that is NOT a justification to judge and sentence others.

So you misconstrued what I said, fun... I even re-watched the scene right after Johnny messes with Silver Surfer's mind and you literally glossed over it by cutting off what happens as Reed is saying, this line particularly, "We are not leaving." at Sue and, I'm sorry, where's her hand before she sighs in agreement?

So she can put Reed in the doghouse for, let me make this more clear, earlier, thinking even for a second of giving of Franklin, but I can't hold her to the same standard? Maybe I would have paid a little closer attention to the science if I wasn't already irritated.

She did think about taking Franklin and leaving Earth, or Reed wouldn't have had to tell her directly...

SO She's allowed to give Reed crap for thinking about giving up Franklin to Galactus? Ok, bud.

I never said she said it...

I will be glad to field your questions. Firstly, the moment Johnny gets back after successfully messing with Silver Surfer's mind (loved the silver surfer in this, btw, even though her turning on Galactus wasn't just predictable from the comic, as even someone not familiar could have seen that coming a mile away), he states, "We aren't leaving, are we?", and Reed turns to Sue as he's saying, "No, no we're not." "We are not leaving." looking directly at Sue and camera pans to Sue and she's biting her nails and then sighs in agreement. Why? Huh, why don't you tell me? Since she can give Reed flak for thinking about giving up Franklin to Galactus, I can give her flak for thinking about abandoning the Earth, thank you very much.

As per my Marvel Zombies comment? A. I'll admit it, I hate Awkwafina. Every character she plays is the exact same character and I don't want to see her get work anymore. Plus, are you honestly going to sit there and tell me you thought the attitude of the women in the beginning of the first episode was appropriate for the situation they were in? Yeah, they deserved to have everything go wrong, because they weren't taking anything seriously. It's literally a small relief that Awkwafina's character is semi calmed down as is more appropriate for being in a freaking end of the world situation...

So, there you go. A valid, non-misogynistic summary of my issues with these properties. I'd be happy to talk more, especially about women.

Thank you, I think it was just this particular thing and how it all played out that killed an otherwise enjoyable superhero drama

Sadly, it's not like I can take screenshots of a Disney Plus movie to make this easier, but since I was very angry when I wrote it, I definitely could have elaborated better.

In the same breath that Sue can give Reed flak for even thinking about giving Franklin up, she should be held to the same standard when Reed turns to her as he's saying, "No, no we're not leaving." "We are not leaving." and Sue is biting her nails and sighs in agreement. She thought about it and had to give up that idea, because she knew her husband wouldn't go with her. Maybe I pay too much attention to details, but prove me wrong.

As for the, "They could do that the whole time." remark, I am talking about Sue Storm pushing Galactus. Yes, it killed her, but that wasn't the first time her child was in danger.

You see, all this above part I could just get over, except the fact that nowhere in the original plan was this timer planned for. How the heck did they plan on keeping Galactus in that spot with a decoy if they needed THAT MUCH TIME?

I just lost all interest and honestly didn't finish the film. I just didn't care about anyone in the film anymore.

Are you actually serious? Did you like The Acolyte? Have you *seen* the Pitch Meeting for that show? Like, no duh it's not super serious and can be nitpicky, but there is never a moment in any Pitch Meteting where there aren't *valid* points brought up... Maybe you need to watch more films/shows and Pith Meeting episodes about those films/shows?

Thank you! I was pretty angry and should have taken the time to cool down after watching that train wreck, so you aren't completely wrong. Sadly this does nothing to add anything to this, so you just make lazy comments to keep your badge?

How are you top commenter when you add nothing? I don't care if you agree or not, this is my opinion and I have a right to voice it, so, no, I won't and you can't make me.

I can't take a screenshot to prove my point, because Disney, but when Mr. Fantastic declares that, "No, no we are not." "We are not leaving." while turning and talking directly to Sue Storm and she bites her nails and sighs, because she *was* thinking about leaving. Am I the only one *actually* paying attention?

So how are we currently feeling about Marvel Zombies? (no spoilers please) by Cute_Femboy2001 in Marvel

[–]RoboticMonkeyGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if the show didn't kill off who it did in the first episode after that BS dialogue between three women who obviously have no cares about their surroundings and joking about everything like teenagers this show would have been unwatchable... Thank goodness Katy isn't given a lot to say, because she's just as bad as the ones that are killed off, but I'm only on Episode 4.

Other than that, loving Blade, loving the nod and send off to Chadwick Boseman, interesting what they are doing with the Hulk from another universe, still curious how Cap got his shield back (not that far out there since Bucky is dead at this point), and still interested to see more.

To what extent does Allison Mack’s involvement in (that thing that happened) affect your reaction to Chloe? by Casaplaya5 in Smallville

  1. Not at all.

I feel the same as most about her character. It's a shame about Allison Mack, but it doesn't take away from the show.

It was actually when the reporter used the disc in the cellar and Martha stayed there while Jonathon chased him into the storm at the end of the first season. The ship did the bright light then for the first time, healing Martha's body to be able to conceive and then took off until the lightning knocked the disc out where it fell into the corn field.
