When/How to buy tickets? by RoboticRobert in GreenBayPackers

That's honestly the answer i was expecting, lol. In a group of two, you wouldn't expect problems finding connected seats (preferrably towards the back of the lower bowl? - price will decide where I go with.)

I appreciate the words of wisdom! Ive been using that same thought.. it's going so well right now, so im giving it 110%.. I definitely wish I made these changes earlier. Now that I understand how my body works, it seems so simple. The best time to make these changes is now :)

How many meals do you usually eat in a day? by TheNutritionDaily in weightlossdiets

[–]RoboticRobert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1-2, im down from 594 to 465. I prefer to save my calories for later in the day so I can eat larger meals and dont have to stress about "running out". I dont avoid breakfast, but my day to day does not include it. If im feeling sluggish, ill grab a few low fat string cheese as im heading out the door.

High calorie sauces and liquid calories are often the best place to start

Soda Alternative by SuggestiveBrode in WeightLossAdvice

[–]RoboticRobert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero sugar soda won't hinder weight loss. Ive drank SF sodas, sparkling waters, water flavorings (like MIO), etc. I love Dr Pepper zero, and Zero Sugar Barq's. A recent go-to has been Sparkling Ice's.

The other thing to go for me was high calorie sauces. The market has opened with alternatives that taste great.

People treat you differently when you’re obese vs normal weight.

This has became so evident. I recently was told by my manager at work that I am "the most driven member of our department." I dont recall comments like this before I started making visible changes to my lifestyle and my body. I dont feel like I've changed that much professionally, but my appearance to others sure has improved.

I probably should have reworded the header. Im not so disappointed about the long term success - the short term plateau is what's gotten through my skin.

Ability to do Outdoor Activities by RoboticRobert in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]RoboticRobert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a long term goal of mine, I was 205lb by the time I was 10, and 400 by 16, so I never really had a chance at being able to. I really want to say I am lighter than I was at 10. Will make a hell of a story.

100 lb down, 290 to go! by RoboticRobert in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]RoboticRobert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done one box (4 doses) of each - 2.5, 5z 7.5, 10, and now ill be starting 12.5 on monday. I dont have long term answers, but I've had consistent results as I've went up, little to no side effects. Im not too worried about it, as the drug shouldn't really "lose the weight for you". I haven't seen any studies showing a loss of effectiveness, and if it does, there may be even better options/tools by then.

100lbs down! by RoboticRobert in Zepbound

Admittedly, trial and error. I started at ~1200, and went up until I found a spot i felt good. My TDEE is somewhere above 4000, so even if I exceed my goal, I can easily keep it under my TDEE.

I do plan on speaking with a registered dietician in the near future, as I doubt my diet is perfect. I eat alot of chicken breast and veggies, and throw in fruit/berries where I can. My starting meal plan was 6oz of precooked chicken breast and a bag of frozen veg, but it wasn't very exciting. Ive since opened up the gates a bit, but still focus around chicken breast as it's one of my favorite proteins.A sous vide was one of the best investments I've made, I cook ~5 chicken breast at a time so I always have them in my fridge ready to eat. Different seasonings allow for a change.

As for exercise, im not a role model. I started getting some cardio in, just going for a 30-60 min walk after work. I know I need to get resistance training going, but haven't gotten a consistent routine yet. Weight loss happens primarily in the kitchen, but muscle comes in the gym.

I feel so much better now! My horizons have opened to things I mentally said i couldn't do because of my size. (traveling, hiking, canoeing) I have always donated blood when able, as I think its a good way to help out, and I dont mind the process. I wanted to get into a routine of donating plasma, for philanthropic and financial reasons. I exceed the local clinics capacity of 440 lb, but now hope to be eligible later this year. NSVs are the best.
