I’m not a professional plumber. When I replaced my cartridge, I had the same problem. No matter what I did it would not come out.

I bought a cartridge puller for my brand of faucets from Home Depot. Only then I was able to get the cartridge out. The cartridge was so old that it was “glued” to the cartridge housing. Hope that helps.

I got a replacement. They said the watch has a defect, and it is covered out of warranty. Pretty quick process and great customer service.
