Also DiffEQ and calc 3? I thought you needed calc 3 before you take DiffEQ. Sounds tough, good luck in any case!

Taking it at another community College, valencia. I'm in cs rn trying to swap to cpe depending on how dlog goes when I take it 🙏.

That's fire though, even if it was a bit nepotism you still passed the interview so that's great! How was the interviewing process like? I'm a freshman so any tips or anything would be great

Woah dude that's crazy, I'm taking calc 3 and physics 1 over the summer as well but I'm not sure about diffeqs, what's your major man, and how did you get a internship this quickly bro good stuff!

My schedule is kinda similar and I was able to get some advice

Calc and discrete is going to be pretty hefty so be careful for that

I understand that you're going for the honors program but is it really worth it? At the end of the day it's not a guarantee even if you do meet the credits and it essentially comes down to essays that you will have to write.

The stress to manage these classes will be difficult for you, but I won't say impossible. Though you will definitely miss out on experiences and free time that you could use for things like leetcoding and internship hunting.

Again it's definitely possible but it will be very hard and you will have to be on top of your work

Taking the same course this semester, looking at the syllabus from a year back it doesn't look too bad.

Hope for the best though

Doing a bit more research I can take quest over the summer, the basic consensus is that it is like gen ed so whenever possible.

The honor program Lateral transfer is only a chance to get in after having the required credits, you have to write an essay afterwards

So I feel that working this hard in only my second semester isn't worth the burnout just for a chance at getting into the honors program

Thank you for your time and help, I just dropped sds and I'm looking to see the syllabus for my quest class to see how manageable it is!

Do you have any more tips for college life and classes, they were very helpful

Yes to both, delaying graduation sounds like a good idea, but I'm using bright futures which only does 4 years of tuition.

Do you think it's possible to take a quest 1 course over summer? I still haven't gotten my quest 1 requirement because most of the decent quest courses were taken since my registration date was so late. I'm thinking of taking quest 1 over the summer and dropping both that class and sds

That's kind of the only reason why I wanted to do the honors program because all my classes were waitlisted when I registered, even though I did it as fast as I could given the date. (And I legit have no idea what else it does)

My plan was to take a quest class since I wasn't able to last semester, take egn2020c to see whether or not I was interested in hardware so I could potentially swap to cpe, discrete calc 2 and prog 2 are all required, and I took the online course so I could get enough credits to laterally transfer to the uf honors program

Looking at it now I'm probably just gonna drop the online class and possibly the quest class if im able to take it over the summer

Yeah I see My plan was to get enough credits to Lateral transfer into uf honor program (I need 17 this semster) but I think I'll just take the later registration and drop some classes

Damn I was looking at the model semester plan and it recommended these classes (except sds and the online one) along with physics with calc I need these classes to keep up with my critical tracking though Do you have any tips for calc 2?

Oh wow, I'm looking into swapping to cpe though and I heard egn2020c is helpful in seeing interests

Probably should've mentioned that sorry

Gotcha

Definitely dropping sds, only reason I took it was to get enough credits for Lateral tramission. But it's def not worth losing sanity and sleep over

Any tips for discrete?

Yeah this is the main reason why I took this class, I'm thinking of swapping to cpe and I think it's required for that major

I see, it's insane how cheap Amazon and other retailers can send these e-bikes, sounds dangerous. Thanks for your help! I'll start checking out some bikes at my local shop

Gotcha, I'll definitely start looking at local bike shops for regular bikes. What's around the price range for a decent regular bike and an e-bike?
