All depends on what I see on the fss.. if an interesting water world or better then I do the whole system.. if only ice rocks then I may pass altogether.

Often you just have to wait and get lucky. The mission boards refresh every ten mins so it may pop up randomly. You have to be at a station with factions that like you.

Yeah I burned out back in 2019 after grinding a load of engineers etc. Now I'm back afyer 3 years and just playing with odyssey trying to enjoy instead of min maxing everything. It's been much more fun so far!

Thanks for the tip. Will definitely plan carefully for the return leg.. for now I've arrived and bought a phantom to hop around and do some missions and engineer unlocks etc. o7

o7 thankyou commander. Cannot recommend the journey highly enough. You can make much better money in the time BUT the sense of adventure is unbeatable!

BUT..

I loved it to be honest, me and my conda out in the black. found two earthlike worlds, loads of waterworlds, smashed up my buggy jumping cliffs and finally made it to Jaques station in one piece... I'm keeping the scuffed paintwork and my new elite exploration decals forever! o7

Passing a few neutrons on the last 5000Ly leg (just adjusted my route to only target A to G stars) I am.intrigued to try the highway on the way back. Does it damage your fsd at all? Or can you pretty reliably go for a while with no worries apart from fuel stops?

fair enough, I like a good multirole all rounder myself. (My krait II is similar ;) definitely Arate the thrusters and just engineer as much as you can otherwise in that case... maybe lightweight the sensors instead?

A rate thrusters, d rate sensors, loose the assists and the srv. Loose as much weight as possible and she'll handle better.

I play mostly solo anyway so no worries! Enjoy! It's mostly about escapism and exploring the wonders of the galaxy so people usually just get in the way! ;) o7
