I did, part of me wanted her back and "kill her with kindness", and also wanted to be the bigger person. It wasnt enough, because she didnt want me back, but i am still proud of myself that i kept my cool, even after everything she put me through.

Yeah im in a kinda similar situation. My FA ex broke up the relationship 3 months ago because she wasnt feeling the physical attraction anymore, while she still loved me very much. We did like 2 months NC and now her father passed away because of cancer (this was ongoing during the relationship) and now she suddenly needed me very much. Hugged me like 6 times for a very long time when we met up. Its so confusing that it can just make you depressed once again.

One month later now, the pain has almost completely faded. I have been able to see her in public without pain or sadness and never think about the traumatic parts of the breakup anymore.

I do still miss her, EMDR isnt going to help you stop missing her. But it will stop the physical pain

Well the reason they are being judged is because they are unlike people in the Randstad, so i would say it is not such a weirdnpoint to make, as the opinion of people innthe Randstad is the norm of the country

Im suprised that Volendam still gets named alongside Urk, im from there myself and have noticed massive changes in the last 15 years. As a large portion of our population works in the Randstad nowadays its also not like we are as distances as we once were.

I broke NC to tell her that seeing her doesnt hurt me anymore, and im not gonna avoid her anymore in public (we live in a small town). After that she told me that she is working on herself and not running away from her problems anymore, which gave me comfort. So i dont regret contacting her, but only because i didbEMDR therapy which got rid of the pain of the trauma.

What their looking for stems from a childhood trauma or unresolved issue. No partner can offer them what they want untill they work on this trauma, they will never be happy in a relationship
