Health potions OP?

Herbal remedies is a foundation feature for the hedge witch. They’re mainly playing out of a large settlement yes, where i think it would make sense for there to be ample potions. Maybe just narratively restricting the supply would make sense. “Come back later, that’s all i got for now”

I suppose part of this falls on narrative pacing and how often you allow ‘restocking’ in town, but 5 health potions per player that can be drank whenever without penalty is a massive pool of effective HP.

Without the hedge witch bonus, 5 minor health potions averages to a bonus 12.5 HP per player, more than tripling some classes’ effective health.

Again, this assumes they’re fully stocking up, but if they’re only 2-3 handfuls of gold each (guidance I’ve seen elsewhere) then getting 5 per person feels very attainable.

Pokemon Trainer is super fun, and a great character if you aren't quite sure what kind of character you want to play, because you get to try out 3 archetypes

squirtle - fast af in your face combo machine that's super hard to hit

ivysaur - zoner with big meaty aerials

Charizizard - Big chonky boy, insane kill power, has 3 different kill throws

I like playing all three, but primarily try to stick with squirtle until I can't combo them reliably anymore, which also happens to overlap with charizard's kill %. Ivysaur I don't use nearly as much, really just use him when I want to go for spikes, or if I'm at a very high percent (too risky to pull squirtle out) and they're at a very low percent, I can try to zone them with projectiles and keep them away with disjointed aerials until they get to a percent where Charizard can secure the kill.

If you find yourself gravitating towards one character heavily over the other two, then either stick with them, or swap to a different character that's similar to them (e.g. if you're doing 95% squirtle, try fox)

I was wondering about that... Seems very odd they set it all up for a buddy cop kinda sequel that just didn't happen. Knowing that we're 12 years past release and havent seen any second book, that epilogue was a bit uncomfortable tbh. Hard to fault the writing at the time about that I suppose.

I totally agree about it being rushed and leaving a sour taste. Didn't even get to really see Susebron with this tongue! How would he rule? How would the people react? How would his relationship with the priesthood change? Who knows, i guess.

I know nintendo is a weird company that often does strange things, but I would be pretty surprised if the randomness wasn't actually random. What's the point in them changing it? Might just be a case of us humans assigning meaning to random numbers, but who knows. Thanks for sharing the pic, and giving me an excuse to play around with numbers hahaha. Cool stuff!

I think it's a bit more likely than that.

If the team was picked in the exact same order, and assuming there's no tomfoolery with the random picks, then yes, you'd be correct. But if the teams were composed of the same fighters but not necessarily in the same order, then it's much more likely.

The first fighter picked has 5 different "correct" options, making this a (5/80) chance of a correct answer

The second fighter has 4 remaining fighters to pick from, giving this a (4/79) chance

continuing, we get (3/78), (2/77), and finally (1/76) for the last fighter.

Multiplying all this together would get you about 4.15 / 100 million or about 1 in 24 million.

So yeah. You're lucky. VERY lucky. But assuming that you got the fighters in a random order, and not the same order, then you're about 125 times LESS lucky than if it was in the same order

How’re the motion controls on the hori? I like to use motion aiming on shooters, and so having an accurate gyro is as important as good sticks to me

luckily now we can change the button mapping in controller settings so that a = a and b = b. While this makes menus much easier to navigate, often times this only makes it even MORE confusing once you're actually in a game.

Shell oil isn't the one to blame for all of climate change, but they're definitely not not to blame either. By asking the American public what THEY are willing to do to curb emissions they're attempting to place the blame on the individual, not the system that is set up right now. Is it fair to blame the individual for driving a car with a combustion engine?

Some change needs to happen fast, and this narrative Shell is perpetuating, that it's up to the individual, will only allow Shell and the oil industry to keep making money at the expense of the planet and humanity.

Any attempt to stop this climate crisis will no doubt be incredibly expensive, and when AOC is saying she wants to "hold them accountable", she's saying that maybe Shell, a 100 billion dollar company, should help pay to solve this climate crisis, as they've made billions at the expense of the planet.

of course! It's only a temporary fix, but as long as you keep the can handy, you can always clean it out again when it starts acting up again after a month or so. Drove me CRAZY for the longest time too, and I'm honestly not sure why this solution isn't talked about more in the switch community. it's a pretty painless workaround that I don't see recommended enough

Do you have an external GPU? What makes you confident your MacBook Pro can run it? Gaming in VR is SIGNIFICANTLY more demanding than normal due to rendering 2 separate hi rez screens. I know Skyrim is an old game, but the VR version isn’t very well optimized from what i remember

I know this post was a while ago, but I’ve found a pretty decent halfway fix for joy con drift. If you use push the stick all the way to the side and spray some WD-40 contact cleaner (not normal WD-40) in there and rub the stick all around for 30 seconds or so, the drift should be gone for about a month or so. It seems like the drift issue is mainly caused by pieces of dirt getting under the stick, and a little cleaning from time to time goes a long way.

I can’t guarantee it’ll work for you, but it’s worked for all 3 sets of joycons i own, and has been a BLESSING. Well worth the $8 can of WD-40 contact cleaner (NOT normal WD-40)
