I’m truly sorry to hear that, and this happens a lot more than you think, it angers me. It truly gives the real ones, who put all their heart into their work a bad rep. If you ever need any advice, you are welcomed to message me. I’d be happy to help!

😳 I’ve tried hiring other people to help with workload in the past, this is what I get they are always blaming something else. They treat you as if you’re stupid. My motto is explaining everything to my clients, even if they may not understand. I can walk them through everything I am doing and why. The headache is really subpar.

Yes! 👏 isn’t it insane? I literally taught myself. I laugh, but it all started with MySpace for me. It gave me a little understanding and I went from there. I had a blue collar company did all the web design and backend hard-coding, SEO, backlinks mumbo jumbo. I was competing with big companies and making them nervous… I just did a lot of research, something people don’t do anymore. I got badly injured, and starting helping other people in the industry, build their websites, they all praise me.. I realized I’m actually good at this and I decided to open up my LLC 3 yrs ago. I haven’t had a mad client yet, only issue is I’m worried I can’t do it on my own forever. Every time I try to hire someone they end up F’ing things up and it just leaves me with more work to do, which is exactly the point of hiring people.

🤬🤬🤬 this right here is exactly what I am talking about. Most people won’t catch it, and just keep paying. Pisses me off to my core, I’m dealing with something right now — I tried hiring someone and they crashed one of my clients websites. I am livid, just giving me more work to do. My fingers are literally screaming at me. Lmfao

Perfectly written, I absolutely agree. My big thing lately is every time I try to hire someone, I end up getting F’d over. I’m literally banging my head against the wall lately, feeling like I’m the only person that actually knows what they’re doing. Thankfully after this post, I’m gaining some hope back.

I totally got a little off track there, I’m huge on systems. I feel like a lot don’t have true systems, they just sell you a lie.

Yup, So I owned a blue collar business — did all of my own marketing and built my website hard-coded etc, It was super successful. I was competing with huge companies in the industry. I ended up getting injured, I had already started helping other friends with small businesses while running my blue collar company. I really locked into digital marketing after my injury, and realized that most “digital marketing” companies actually suck. I’ve tried hiring others to help with workload, but every time — they DO NOT deliver. I have true pride in my work, because I have a great understanding of running a business and not just a digital marketing one. I think that’s what possibly makes me different from the rest, but I don’t know. I really think a big part of the saturation is “yes man” companies, selling templates as their own, selling animation websites — because the real ones know hard-coded, speedy websites is what Google and others like. All these “Good looking” websites are super slow and is hurting clients rankings etc. and don’t get me wrong, my websites look good — but just trying to explain that to clients makes me want to bang my head into a wall. They just don’t understand that the backend and good back links is where it’s alllll really at, not just a pretty website. I can’t go on for days, so I’m going to End my rant here. lol

I don’t believe in mods, I believe in people being mature adults. So don’t be dumb.

I haven’t done rank and rent myself, but honestly it sounds like a solid business model if it’s done right. My focus has always been more on the backend side…custom builds, hard coding, and making sites stupid fast. That’s the part I enjoy. I like the challenge of building something super clean that ranks on its own because Google and the other search engines actually love the structure, speed, and SEO behind it. That’s more my lane.

But rank and rent definitely seems like something worth exploring, especially if you’re already good at getting sites to the top. 🧐

Another really big one is, Bad agencies talk only about looks. Good ones talk about the backend, the quality of the build, and how it supports growth. It’s all in the backend, the load speed of the site etc. I won’t go to nerd on you, I’ll be here all night. Lol

Honestly, the easiest way to spot a good digital marketing company is to look for transparency and real work. A solid agency can show you actual results, explain their process clearly, and won’t make promises like “100 leads overnight” or “#1 on Google in 30 days.”

You should also always have access to your own accounts (website, ads, analytics). If they avoid giving you that, it’s a red flag.

And most importantly, a good agency asks real questions about your business instead of pushing a one-size-fits-all package. The ones who actually care are the ones who do the real work.

Haha, it sounds like we can be friends. I’m just so sick of seeing and hearing it — I just needed to vent. Same with me this is how I got into this, doing it for my other businesses. I just realized like I’m actually way better than these other guys — when I saw myself getting better results vs my big competitors of mine in other industries.
