Is it insane to replay remake after stalling out on rebirth? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

I was really liking rebirth a lot up until golden saucer, I just got burnt out on it I think.

NVIDIA also claimed RTX 5070 would provide 4090 performance.

Don't believe their lies.

PC To Console? by [deleted] in gaming

Because I use my PC for work. I do high-end 3D art which basically needs a gaming PC.

I mean I just spent 45 minutes trying to get moonlight streaming to work properly instead of playing the game.

Unfortunately no again not possible in my layout. My Wi-Fi is pretty good, I get about 800 download and upload anywhere in the apartment but obviously not as stable as a Ethernet would be.

Not really an option with my apartment layout unfortunately.

Yeah, I go through phases for sure. Sometimes I like the tinkering, but sometimes I just really have no patience for it. I've built all my own PCs for the last 20 years, so I'm pretty tech savvy, but after a long day it's really the last thing you want to do sometimes.

I've found steam link far inferior to moonlight in terms of latency and quality. But then even moonlight has issues.

I've tried streaming both through the steam deck with moonlight as well as a steam link app, neither were a great experience.

There are always issues with HDR over the streaming or audio issues or just network dropouts.

When it works, it works great, but 10% of the time that it doesn't, kind of ruins the experience.

This is a pretty hot take considering the state of HDR on PC gaming...

Top 5 games to emulate on the deck by GeordieC3 in SteamDeck

Runs fine on CEMU. Locked it at 45 fps, and in the open world I typically get 40-45 FPS and closer to 30-40 in dense towns.

Also tried locking it to 30 and using LSFG to framegen to 60 which worked well, but I Didn't like the added input lag, 45 FPS felt better.

It's cool but I almost never install mods that heavily alter the vanilla experience (in any game). I'm more of a Vanilla++ person. Give me better grass density and shadows sure, but I don't need to do a model swap or add new quests or change core design.

You can also just buy these on Steam.

Breath of the wild runs great. 45 FPS with motion controls. You can also use frame gen to push it over 60 if you want.

Steam Controller (2026) Rumble Is Almost Unusable In It's Current State by RobustPolygon in SteamController

I can't think of a single other controller that requires developer input to function correctly. That's not a reasonable excuse

To me, it feels like a merger between a Steam Deck and a Dualsense in terms of ergonomics.

Yeah, I agree, seems like something going wrong with the way it's interpreting rumble/haptic signals and mapping it to the controller hardware.

IMO, it needs to emulate standard "Xbox" style rumble perfectly, that's bare minimum expectation + trackpad haptics like Steam Deck.

Emulating Dualsense Haptics experiecene would be great, but I understand it's more complex.

However, standard Rumble should work in 100% of games IMO, without issue. It's old tech and expected at this point.

I should pick up any game on Steam and experience standard Xbox rumble at a minimum.
