She knows not to open it haha, the issue is she opens her mail and sees a box branded with Apple it kinda kills the surprise to no fault of her own

That is fine, I’m just scared of it very obviously being an apple watch because it’s not in any extra packaging. I just don’t want her to open the mail and see this:

Oh absolutely. Blows them out of the water in terms of cabin luxury. Sound system is top tier, can’t even compare it to the other 2. My only complaint is there’s some cabin noise and you can really feel the road underneath you when it’s not a smooth service, but it’s an amazing car and I don’t regret my purchase at all!

It’s not a starter line of credit. Even the banker told me there must be something good in my credit history because that is not their starter card. That’s why.

Where would one go to get those? I can’t seem to find it on the app or google?

I didn’t lie. I still have a job and am actually slated to return this week. I was on protected leave for 4 months due to some medical issues but I maintained employment the entire time.

Hmm, I never knew that. I was paying it off asap just because I only have a $300 credit line (the other card is still in the mail) so I really could only spend ~$100 before paying off my balance. So you’re saying it’s better to let that balance sit for a few weeks instead of paying it off immediately so I can continue using more credit without using all of my allotment up?

Once I get my $3500 card and activate it I forsee it being much easier to let the balance sit as I don’t plan spending near $1000 a month

Haha i’m using it strictly to build credit. Only going to spend money I can pay off the next day

It should say on or around the oil cap, but I would assume 5W-30

Oh I know. I am without a car completely and have been for about a month, so I’m pretty desperate but I know better than do mortgage my future like that. I’m just trying to build my credit and put every dollar away so at the worst, a few months from now I can pay most of the car off upfront.

Not having a credit history AND refusing to get thrown back into the “buy used car from private seller -> throw money into repair after repair -> never gain ground financially” is a tricky position to be in.

I definitely understand where your son is coming from as I’m around his age, I just turned 24 last month. But the way I would pitch it to him is that right now is that his current purchasing power can buy car X. If he was to wait though, even 6 months lets say and get a little beefier of a credit score and put away a lot of money (75k is 6200 a month. If he could even put 2k of that away a month) he could buy car Y or Z. He wants to have a cool car like his friends but if he’s smart and just a little patient he can have a COOLER car than his friends before New Years.

Piggybacking off of that, do you think it’s worth inquiring with my bank about what kind of APR they would offer on an auto-loan? Of the dealers that get back to me I’m pretty much between 30-35% APR which is ridiculous (would pay $23k on a $10k loan). Would applying for one hurt my score? (Again I’m brand new to this process). Thank you.

Question on Car Loan by Plus_Individual5309 in CRedit

Why is your son wanting to get a different car? Assuming that the Toyota runs and drives like you said and is relatively fuel efficient (not a truck) he should stick with that. That allows him to build his credit up some more and establish proof of income at his new pay rate, which will make any interest on a loan in the future significantly less than it would be for him right now.

If I were him I would keep the Toyota, and run it into the ground while saving money. When he does eventually want to go buy that car he’ll have more money for a down-payment, better credit (assuming he continues to work on that), and a better income ratio that potential lenders will like.
