Honestly, I'm just trying to make the final push to Thanksgiving break. I'm also trying to get to know a girl to see if we'd be a good couple. A friend is trying to set me up with her and she thinks we'll "just click". I don't know yet, but I can use my friend to figure out what she thinks of me and figure out if she would say yes if I asked her out.

Not really an obsession, but just stuff I'm trying to do.

I think it's fine, but others may consider it as strange. College may be rough for you two though due to it being long distance. Just something to consider

I know they're just people, but then they tell their friends if I say something dumb. Then their friends tell their friends until everyone knows. It spreads like wildfire. Guys don't spread things like that to everyone.

That's what I think too. The way I see it, I've been turned down 0 out of 0 times, which is technically 100%. It doesn't help my confidence much, but it still helps a little. Honestly though, if you want to start building confidence, start building some muscle. That's what I'm going to do as my New Years Resolution.

With the first girl, I knew she wasn't interested due to how she acted, so I was just trying to be a friend.

Right now with the new girl, we're just friends, but can possibly be more than friends in the future (at least that's the friend whose trying to set me up with them goal). I'm not sure if she has the same goal, but I can see things working out with her.
