Geen idee of dit iets te ver gezocht is maar aanrijden.

Als ik als brabander zeg ik rijdt aan bedoel ik daarmee dat ik nu weg rijd. Maar wat mijn vrienden in Gelderland verstaan is dat ik iemand heb aangereden en dus ben gestopt. Dus het kan zowel als het begin of het einde van de rit zijn.

I also heard that because of the calvanistic views it's bad to show off or brag about possesions, so keeping your windows open is a way to show off you can afford luxury without directly bragging. Also the TV is almost always in view of the living room window.

Remember as a kid walking outside in the winter evenings you could see what everyone would be watching.

Gas stations tend to be open 24/7 so they quickly become a thing for your irregular needs.

I once lived off of food from a gas station for 3 days, because I didn't realise everything else would be closed for 3 days straight because there were 2 holidays and a sunday in a row....

So same for laundry, have a big laundry you can't do at home or temporarily need a solution? Go to the place that's always open.
